Hey, hi! It's Keidaï (yes, that rhymes!), aka Kade I 🎶🎹🕺😄

I love understanding a place through the eyes and spaces of the local people. I've loved the reminders and surprises I found in how beautifully similar and/or different I am to everyone I meet.

1) 🗣️🇫🇷🇹🇼🇨🇳🇺🇸🤟 As a former freelance translator, interpreter, and language tutor for both children and adults, I would be very excited to teach you my languages (Mandarin, Taiwanese, French, English, some ASL - American Sign Language) and keep your kids entertained.

2) 👶👶🏾👧👧🏾 With a good amount of training in psychology, human relationships, trauma, and gentle parenting, I would also be very excited to work with your kids and get them excited about discovering themselves and the world around them. Kids also tend to really like me – even the most difficult ones that most adults can’t get to listen to them!

3) 🍳🍽️ 🥢I’m also regularly “hired” by my friend as their private chefs. After asking you questions through my special Google Form survey, I customize meals based on your preferences and allergies, creating dishes influenced from mainly Asian (mainly Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, with touches of Vietnamese and Thai) and European (mainly French, Italian, and Greek) cooking styles.

4) 💻🖱️🛜 As a former computer science major and digital literacy specialist, I’m very happy to help with any technical troubleshooting you might need.

5) 📂🗂️📦 ✅ I’m also very organized, both with physical and digital items, so I also really enjoy interviewing people, helping them understand what they might not realize about how the perceive and utilize their space, and make a plan together to create an organization solution that helps you better efficiently maximize your surroundings.

6) 📱📸🤳 Extending my organization and tech skills, I'm also confident in my social media skills and building an online presence. I'm great at understanding your values and beliefs, bringing them to life, and creating a community around them (:

7) 📞🆘 👂My listening skills stem from me being a former crisis hotline responder, trained both in the US in college at a high pressure university, and in Paris, France for an LGBTQ+ hotline with people in both emotional and physical distress. If you ever need a listening ear, I’m also happy to apply my skills from my second major, philosophy, and help you unearth your deeper thoughts to better help you understand what you’re feeling, thinking, or the meaning you may be searching for in your life.

8) 🔨 ⛺️🫡 🔥 🥾 As a former Boy Scout and Eagle Scout, I’m also very good with outdoor work: starting a fire, pitching a tent, any construction projects, coordinating a group of people to get a project done – I’m your guy!

9) 🎿⛷️❄️ I also taught skiing as a winter gig once and still really enjoy giving my friends free skiing lessons! I’m also a great sports buddy – I love being active in biking, swimming, wrestling, dodgeball, tennis, pickleball, and anything else!

In the work I do, I'm constantly asking the questions, "can anyone achieve their potential, no matter where they come from? And if not, when inevitable conflict arises, how can we experience that conflict... well?

It brings me joy to witness and contribute to the making of people who are their best selves, because of AND regardless of their environments and cultures. It's my life mission to combat apathy with compassionate nuanced narratives.

As a result, I also love going to museums, visiting local restaurants, listening to local stories, and applying my philosophy studies to the world around me. After having lived abroad for long periods of time in France, Taiwan, and visiting neighboring countries, I am excited to exchange lessons about my and others' unique corners of the universe. I hope to visit your city/town soon!
