Hola a todos,
Soy Hauke y soy nómada desde hace unos seis años, viajando por América Latina en este momento.
Solía trabajar como ingeniero para soluciones de energía renovable en calefacción, electricidad y transporte en Alemania, pero decidí que un trabajo de oficina de 9 a 5 no es para mí y comencé a viajar como mochilero en 2018.
Mi parte favorita de mi estilo de vida actual es no tener compromisos a largo plazo y ser libre de vivir nuevas experiencias y conocer gente interesante mientras descubro nuevos lugares y culturas y aprendo nuevas habilidades e idiomas.
Me interesa más o menos cualquier cosa, desde la naturaleza hasta la historia, la comida, la política, la música, las artes, la artesanía, los deportes... y no necesito mucho en mi vida para ser feliz, siempre y cuando tengo algo para hacer que puedo creer en.
Hi all,
I am Hauke and I am a nomad for about six years now, travelling around latin america at the moment.
I used to work as an engineer for renewable energy solutions in heating, electricity and transport in Germany, but decided, that a 9 to 5 office job is not for me and started backpacking in 2018.
My favourite part about my current lifestyle is not having any long term commitments and being free to make new experiences and meet interesting people whilst discovering new places and cultures and learn new skills and languages.
I am interested in more or less anything from nature to history, food, politics, music, arts, crafts, sports... and don't need much in my life to be happy, as long as I have something to do that I believe in :)

I have a bachelor's degree in process-, energy-, and environmental engineering, that covered a wide range of fields such as renewable and efficient energy production, heating and cooling systems (industrial/domestic/self-sufficient), resource saving production and protection of the environment.
It taught me a lot of useful things such as systematic problem solving, acquiring new skills, efficient planning etc.
In my time as a backpacker, especially during my working holidays in Australia I gained a lot of experience in jobs like labourer, gardener, electrical trades assistant, geology field assistant, farm hand, bartender, waiter, hostel manager, maintenance personal, housekeeper, painter, kitchen hand, festival stage hand...
I am 1.97 tall and am used to physical work and teaching myself new skills.

I also love music and play guitar and am currently learning how to play harmonica

even though I wouldn't count Santiago as my favourite city, I didn't want to leave..
the work (housekeeping/cleaning/front desk side kick) was easy enough, with an amazing team!

I've been there in the low season and most of the time we had more staff than guests but don't worry there is enough work to do
I helped developing the place mainly clearing land to create flower beds and so on
