Hi everyone! I'm a 23 year old American from New Mexico. I started traveling after I graduated Duke University with a degree in Semiotics in 2023, and I am finishing up a year of living in Puglia, Italy teaching English on a Fulbright grant before working Portugal and Thailand this coming winter.
I love art (photography, design, and dance), music (djing and guitar), nature (hiking and skiing), reading, pets, children, and language learning (Italian, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish). I am planning on doing UX design after my year of travel, and I am passionate about social justice and activism, including reproductive justice, refugee resettlement, and web accessibility.
I have experience with workaway in social hostels in Barcelona, Portugal, and Albania, gardening in Berlin, and teaching English in Morocco and Italy. I am responsible, clean, and will take initiative to find ways to help! I also have experience in customer service, childcare, and cleaning and managing a hostel campsite.

I have studied Italian (C1), Arabic (B1), Mandarin Chinese (A2), and Spanish (A1) • I am particularly interested in becoming fluent in Italian through cultural and language immersion • I would love to and have experience teaching English • I can communicate and help in a basic fashion in Arabic (FusHa), Chinese (Mandarin), and Spanish. I am interested in improving in each of these languages • I would also be interested in learning a bit of Russian, French, or Hindi!

• Art and web: I have extensive experience in user experience (UX) and web design, as well as graphic design, branding, photography, screen printing posters, sewing, producing and editing podcasts, and producing and DJing music for the radio. I have also organized gallery and art events.
• I have taught English to refugee children, adult women, and Italian high school students. I also have looked after children for multiple years and volunteered with Best Buddies to support people with mental and developmental disabilities.
• I have computer skills including Google suite, Microsoft suite, Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Audition), and coding/web development (Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python)
• I have studied Italian (C1), Arabic (B1), Mandarin Chinese (A2), and Spanish (A1)
• I have social justice and activism organization experience in politics (from my internship with US Senator Udall and Santa Fe Council on International Relations), reproductive justice (Progress Period and Women to Be), and refugee resettlement (Suwa, Newcomer's Academy)
