Greetings! Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I have traveled all around the country, including Hawaii, where I spent considerable time as a child on Oahu. I moved to the Northwest in 1980 to attend the University of Idaho. I worked during the school year in restaurants and summers as the cook (swamper) on 5 day long white water rafting trips on the wild rivers of Idaho, where I would prepare 3 " home cooked " meals a day for 10 to 30 guests a trip and then be the after dinner entertainment with my guitar and a song around the campfire. After graduating, I moved to Seattle where I was 35 years with Seattle Public Schools as a Music and Movement Arts Specialist and the biological sciences.
For most of my adult life, I have practiced organic and permaculture gardening and design, growing the plants and herbs I use for creating delicious whole food meals and making herbal medicines and essential oils for health and well being. I have decades of experience with renovating and redesigning living spaces and can do drywall, painting, tiling, laying trim and flooring and simple carpentry. I have a passion for doing projects that ameliorate and transform spaces.
In summary, I am a singer, dancer, teacher, organic gardener, animal lover, nature lover, movie watcher, fabulous cook, yoga practitioner, herbalist, nutritionist, optimist, resourceful, energetic, curious, sensitive, generous, adventurous with an open mind/open heart. I love meeting new people and working in a positive and productive environment and I am looking forward to meeting you.
