Hi 😊, I'm Romane, a 21-year-old girl from South West of France ! I'm currently taking a gap year after completing my literature bachelor's degree. I've been working for a year to be able to discover New Zealand and here am I now !
I’m an open-minded and curious person who loves helping out, whether it’s with language exchange, creative projects, or hands-on work. Through Workaway, I hope to develop new skills and knowledge, contribute to interesting projects, and build great connections with hosts and other travelers. Can’t wait to meet you!

I’m a highly motivated and volonteer person, always eager to learn and help ! I’ve been working since I was 15, gaining experience in various fields.
I’ve worked as an au pair, in fast food, as a waitress, and as a cook in both a bakery and a tea room. I’m also no stranger to farm work, having experience in corn castration. These diverse jobs have taught me responsibility teamwork, and adaptability !

I’m always ready to take on new challenges and bring a positive attitude to every experience! 😊

In my free time, I really enjoy reading, especially fictions but I also enjoy learning more about our world through essays. I also love playing board and card games, it’s the only thing that brings out my competitive side haha.
I like discovering new places by running and would love to train more !
A big part of my heart belongs to Sweden, where I lived for a year—I completely fell in love with saunas and swimming in cold water (even in winter! ❄️).
Another passion of mine is cooking, but let’s be honest—the best part for me is always the eating! I’d love to discover your favorite meals and introduce you to some of mine !
