Quit a corporate job back in the US after seven years. Just spent five months in Buenos Aires where I invited a lot of time learning to dance the tango. Have been in Brasil for but a couple weeks and would like to volunteer in a rural community, far away from city life.
Need to update my profile (photo from first Workaway when I was 18!) more thoroughly, headed to the beach now for some sun before ideally starting a Workaway by the 13th of May 2024 at the latest.
Speak Spanish, some French, and am learning Portuguese. Finishing up my fourth week of intensive language lessons at Caminhos in Ipanema. Has been really exciting to going from not speaking almost anything to having conversations in just a couple weeks.
I would love to turn my phone off upon arrival at whichever Workaway I wound up at and simply not use it/turn it on for the entirety of my stay. Currently thinking I'll volunteer (at my first stop) at least two weeks but more than likely a month.

He is very polite, kind and knows a lot of geography and politics (LOL)
During his time here he helped us with many gardening, cleaning, and cooking tasks and shared some experiences of past travels.
Our place is always open to you Richard!
