👉🏻 Current Workaway Experience (11 Oct - …..) | Meaux, Crouy-sur-Ourcq, Seine-et-Marne department (77), Île-de-France

On 11 October, I began my second Workaway with a beautiful and generous French family living in the quiet suburban countryside of Île-de-France. I arrived at Crouy-sur-Ourcq station, where my host, an exceptionally kind, open, and genuine French woman, welcomed me and drove me to their home in Chézy-en-Orxois, about 9 km from the station.

Their house is part of the family’s heritage, a large, charming home surrounded by gardens, trees, and forested land. It carries a true sense of history and warmth. I’ve only just arrived, and there’s still much to explore, but I can already feel the calm and authenticity of this place.

👉🏻 Past Workaway Experience (30 Aug – 05 Oct 2025) | L’Étang-la-Ville, département des Yvelines (78), Île-de-France

📑 During my Workaway stay, I spent over a month with a French family, supporting them in their daily routines and engaging with their children. I enjoyed teaching sports like table tennis, encouraging morning outdoor time for health, and introducing simple practices such as meditation and mindfulness. I also helped with small household tasks that brought comfort to the family, as I believe that consistency in little things can have a lasting impact.

My approach was not to lecture, but to share through actions and experiences, allowing learning to feel natural and enjoyable.

▪️ I contributed to the family’s well-being by:

✔️ Encouraging healthy routines such as morning sun exposure for natural energy and Vitamin D.
✔️ Practicing mindfulness and meditation with the children to develop focus, calm, and resilience.
✔️ Creating an atmosphere of positivity through small, symbolic gestures.
✔️ Including the family dog in morning rituals, fostering unity between humans, animals, and nature.
✔️ Cooking healthy meals for the family, sugar-free and gluten-free, blending French and Indian cuisines to support a balanced and healthy diet.

I enjoy cooking, playing chess and board games, photography, and exploring new cultures. I also love walking, nature, and sharing stories over a good meal. Always curious to learn something new!w
