Hi! My name is Olivia and I am a 22-year-old from Wisconsin, USA!

I graduated from UW-Madison in 2024 with a degree in Biology and Athletic Healthcare. For the past two years, I have worked as a nursing assistant at a local hospital. At the moment, I am in a sort of gap year as I apply to medical school with hopes of starting school in the Fall of 2026. Before I am too tied down, I really want to get out and explore. Workaway feels like the perfect opportunity to meet new people and experience new places and ways of life:) Right now, I am looking to travel with my friend, Natalie, and will include a short bio about her at the end of my description! She is pictured in the last few photos on my profile as, well.

Overall, I have a pretty happy-go-lucky personality. I love sports (especially the Packers!), swimming, reading, camping, going to trivia nights, listening to live music, and am always up to trying something new! In addition to being a nursing assistant, I am also a volunteer summer camp counselor and spent a large amount of my time last year planning a fundraising gala benefitting the organization the camp is run through (it is called Kesem if you are looking to learn more!). I have also babysat for almost ten years now and feel very comfortable around kids and pets.

Most of my family is from rural Upper Michigan so I grew up in a very "go play in the woods" type of way. Four-wheelers, camping, fort-making, fishing, and anything else of the sort is right up my alley. I love to get my hands dirty and always feel so rewarded after watching a product arise out of my own hard work. I would love to have a Workaway experience where I could work in a garden, with animals, or in nature in some capacity.

My ideal Workaway stay would be at least a month long as I am hoping to truly immerse myself in a new situation and want to form strong relationships with the people I meet during my stay. I am open to any questions and would love to talk more about anything you want to know!

My name is Natalie and after my wonderful first experience in Ireland about a year ago, I’m excited to do another :) I have a bachelors degree in English and a minor in environmental studies, and have worked in hospitality, as an assistant teacher, and in environmental restoration. Outside of work you can find me reading with a chai in hand, listening to a new album, hiking and enjoying the scenery, or doing some random craft-of-the-day. I’m always looking for book and music recommendations, or a good story, so please reach out and tell me yours!"

Que habilidades tienes?

I would say I am very skilled in childcare, cleaning, and have good organizational skills. I am a decent cook and have basic gardening skills. I am more than willing to learn something new (in fact, I would really like to learn something new) and typically can pick up skills quickly.

I would not say I am an extreme athlete but I am reasonably fit and am open to any physical activity or job sent my way.

As a nursing assistant, I have seen and handled my fair share of dirty situations. I think there are few jobs that I would be grossed out by!

If I am a Workawayer somewhere in the US, I would likely drive my car to wherever I am traveling. This way I can explore the area a bit! I would prefer someplace that I could keep my car if that is the case.
