Hi there! I’m Oli – a 33-year-old solo traveler from Germany, currently exploring Latin America and looking for more grounded, meaningful ways of living – ideally in connection with nature, people and purpose.

I work as a freelance web designer, mostly focused on developing websites, SEO, and graphic design. To sustain my journey, I currently need about 3 hours per day with a stable internet connection — ideally in the mornings for my European clients. At the same time, I’m consciously transitioning towards less screen time and a lifestyle more rooted in hands-on work and community life. Apart from my online tasks, I’m glad to help with anything that’s needed: from gardening and cooking to maintenance, construction, cleaning, or taking care of animals.

I enjoy a wide range of activities – from calm forest walks and intense hikes to adrenaline-based adventures – and I also love the ocean. As a certified Advanced Open Water Diver, discovering marine life has become another passion of mine, complementing my interest in exploring natural environments.

People often describe me as calm, thoughtful and a good listener, but also curious and humorous. I’m deeply interested in intentional communities, holistic living, and I’ve recently developed a strong desire to learn to play a musical instrument. If there’s one around – especially a guitar – I’d be happy if you could teach me a few things! On a small and simple scale, I also enjoy painting – for example creating signs or little art pieces. I’ve done this a few times before for hostels and workaways, though it’s nothing professional, just something I like to contribute when it fits.

Through friends and fellow travelers I’ve seen how Workaway can create meaningful connections and experiences. I’m now excited to continue building my own path here and contribute my skills while learning new ones along the way.

I work professionally as a freelance web designer and can help with anything related to websites, WordPress, SEO, online marketing or branding. I also have solid experience in graphic design and regularly use tools like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop on a professional basis.

Beyond the digital world, I really enjoy being active and learning new skills. I’m good with dogs and hold the highest official dog handling certificate in Germany. I also love being a good host – whether it’s helping organize small events, preparing spaces, or creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I’m native in German and speak English fluently, so I’m happy to teach or help with language practice. My Spanish is still very basic, but I’d love to improve it and I’m always open to practicing!
