Hello! My name is Nozomu from Tokyo, Japan and I am 36 years old. I am currently going on travel around the world. During my trip, I love interacting with people to exchange different cultures, not just visiting sightseeing spots. The reason I do workaway is to open my mind and return the favor that I have received a lot from people when I had difficulties in my life, like diseases.

I would describe myself as outgoing, optimistic, and cheerful. I am pleased to share my knowledge as I have been working for several types of jobs after graduating from university. For instance, a sales representative for an IT company, a firefighter for 7 years, a window cleaner, a human rights NGO Amnesty International, a tour guide in Tokyo called a rickshaw driver, and a waiter for a vegan restaurant.

It was a beautiful time to work on a farm and rice field as a WWOOF worker. I will do my best what I can do, and be glad to work in your place.

Conducted rickshaw tours in Tokyo and Hyogo providing detailed information on sites.

Received guests in a polite, helpful, and approachable manner, and managed bookings

- Firefighter (7years)
Combatted fires and disasters, took part in fire prevention and first aid training (AED, CPR) education

- Web design
Make friends’ websites and have been studying Computer science at a university.

- WWOOFer
Helped the host to build his house, do farming, and care about their children.

Olga and the hostel staff were always generous and polite to not only the guests but volunteer workers as well. It was great to have Nozomu here for 10 days. He is strong, has a lot of skills, fast learner, he also has an interesting live story. I had a real local life in Sri Lanka in the place. It is not just working but also touching the great nature like a waterfall. It was one of the great experiences in my life to stay at the farm. I stayed here for two weeks. Everybody was kind and cheerful even though it was difficult to communicate in English. I learned some Visaya language.
