Descripción
Born and raised in Aleppo, Syria, I found passion in arts and music. My life philosophy consists of: There is always more to learn, to explore, to feel. I am excited to be in New Zealand and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about the Kiwi culture and meet people with such diversity. My work experience consists of various domains including hospitality, childcare, tutoring, passenger assistance and housekeeping. A lot of my work experiences so far were based on trust and reliability at first sight – which made it possible to me to gain a great sense of responsibility over the past years. I am eager to gain new skills, expand my work experience and connect with people from around the world!

Ever since my French teacher asked me to tutor a student of hers, I've fallen in love with teaching! Back then, I was in 8th grade and 14 years old. At first, it was only French, however, as years and years passed by, it became English, Maths and German as well!Habilidades y conocimientos que quiero compartir o aprender

Considering I have been moving from one place to another that often in my life so far, (due to war), I had the chance to gather so much life experience when it comes to cultural exchange. I've lived in Syria for almost 11 years, got to live in the village, as well as in Aleppo. Libanon was also one of my stops (10 months). After that, we moved to Germany and lived in Hannover before deciding to move to a smaller village near the Dutch border. At the end, we settled down in Nordhorn, a small city which had so much to offer, too. In the meantime, I was swimming competitively, making music films (also for companies), participating at poetry slams and poetry camps and was singing and playing the guitar on stage at Christmas and school events, occasionally. At the same time, I was working on my high school degree. Not even two days after my high school graduation, I had my first experience in hospitality, for five months, as a part-time waitress. The money I earned from this job and from tutoring at the Adult Education Centre in Nordhorn during my final exams, was invested in this dream of mine: travelling.

Over the past few years, I took part at arts competitions (by coincidence!), too! The 67th European Competition was a very successful participation: My partner and I won at federal level and were also nominated for (and won) best accomplishment in the category “media” (“Der Schlüssel”) in 2020! That is the time I got to explore more photography, rather than cinematography and I loved it just as much!
Some other facts about me:
- I am an adrenaline junkie!
- I love "F.R.I.E.N.D.S", it's my favourite sitcom series of all time!
- "gilmore girls" has become THE Tv series my mom and I would watch night after night!
- Purple is my favourite color!
- I adore my family!
- Kodaline rocks! Bob Dylan, too (especially his version of "knocking' on heaven's door")!
- I enjoy reading romantic novels!
- "Boy meets world", "that 70s show", "the fresh prince of Bel-Air" and "The mentalist" are absolutely THE tv shows I would want to watch when it rains!
- I am not tall at all (some people would mistake me for a 12-year old, and some for a 30-year old woman)!
- I find ducks really funny, wouldn't like to see one before going to bed though!
- I hate breaststroke!
- Once I said at school I was funny, and everyone just bursted into laughter.Más información

From the first time I heard Cheryl's voice on the phone till the last minute we spent together, me on the bus in joyful disbelief, and her, Case, Jack and Evy waving back at me, making sure that everything's okay before sending me kisses from afar..

I was barely 24 hours in New Zealand when Jo picked me up. My arrival, all in all, went well, – I got to New Zealand, safe and sound - , however, some complications unfolded, for instance my non-functioning credit-card, my sim-card that wasn’t inserted successfully and above all, my homesickness that lead me to tears, here and… read more
