Hello, my name is Jakub (eng. Jacob) and I live in Northern Poland in the beautiful city Gdynia.
I graduated from the University of Gdansk with MA degree in Russian Language and Literature. I also completed a Bachelor's degree in English and a postgraduate course from Ateneum - University of Gdansk being rewarded with the Graduate Diploma in Language Teaching. I also graduated in journalism and did a six-month internship at a local newspaper. In addition, I have completed specialized Russian Language courses in Sankt Petersburg and Moscow.

I've been working as a teacher in language schools since 2013 and as an online tutor for more than 4 years on different teaching platforms (Italki, Preply, Verbling, etc.)
During my work experience, I have conducted classes for learners of different ages (teenage students and adults) in small groups of 3-4 persons, large groups of 15 people, and for individuals as well. I always create a trusting atmosphere through openness to individual student's strengths, weaknesses, and personal learning styles.
Along with my skills, I bring creative, positive energy to the education process, accompanied by a desire and willingness to work with others to achieve a common goal.

I love my job, but of course, volunteering is what I like a lot, too. I took part in different volunteering programs abroad several times so far. I've prepared the English language course for slum kids in Chennai (India) in August 2019. Apart from teaching sessions in a classroom I had a chance to spend time with kids, play games, and interact with them. I also spent 1,5 months in Madurai (India), teaching Russian in Fatima college in 2016 and 2 months in Mamallapuram teaching for IID College in Poonjeri, then in ISM College in Gudalur in 2017.

Apart from being an active teacher, I do stop-motion animation. It's still more hobby than a profession, but I plan to develop it :)

Also, I am currently doing sailing and motorboat courses. I would like to develop my sailing interests in the future and learn to sail well.
