Hello there! I'm Maurane, a 25 years old, born and raised in Belgium, Antwerp.
I'm leaving my wonderful city, friends, and family behind for my next adventure: solo-traveling for aprox 1 year through South-Eastern Asia. Trying to expect as least as possible, but damn I'm hoping to have a good time :)
Throughout my trip I hope to learn about other cultures, acquire new skills, and get in touch with pure-hearted souls. Therefor I decided to do some volunteering work while traveling.
More about me? I'm an enthusiastic girl who likes to work for good cause projects. I can't sit around doing nothing for more than a day, so I am always trying to keep myself busy with sports, eating, chatting, exploring the area, ... . My favorite day would be a combination of honest, deep conversations at the beach, and some crazy-ass dancing and singing.
Other than that I would love to work with or around animals and nature, as both make me truly happy.

During my study in business economics and from having working experience in both profit and non-profit companies, I have quite some organisational, administrational, and other soft skills to offer. I have insight (for example) in how to make a business more efficient.
Next, I have worked in a coffee bar as a barista and a waitress.
I also have some experience in teaching both adults as children (however not in a school environment)
Other than that, I would love to learn some new skills (gardening, farm keeping, cooking, ...) ánd I'm a fast learner. So sounds like a win-win, no?
With regards to animal care: I just love animals. And I have some experience with horse riding, and owned a horse and cats myself. I also worked in a dogshelter in Peru and Belgium.
