I grew up in London with my Latvian parents and then I received a scholarship for a university in New York called Vassar College. I studied International Relations and I just graduated in May. I am spending a couple months in South America studying Spanish and Portugese and of course, blessing my eyes with the wonders of the continent.
I love travelling and learning about new cultures and traditions. I have been fortunate to travel a lot in my life despite financial disadvantages. My mum took me around a lot of Europe growing up. I would spend all my summers in Latvia where my family is from. Since being at university in the US, I had the opportunity to travel to a lot of places far from what I know, such as, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Jamaica. I think that meeting new people and seeing new places is the most valuable form of education. As well as, the best form of self-development and skill acquirement. Particularly in places that are so different to what I've grown up due to the varied fauna, flora and culture.
I did my first Workaway in November 2024 painting a garden just outside of Buenos Aires and later another two on farms in Brazil centred around agroforestry. Through these experiences, I gained so much knowledge on cultural norms, foods, dialects and the environment. I am looking forward to more adventures doing Workaways. I am proactive, open-minded and super curious to learn more while using my initiative. Always happy to lend a helping hand :)

I have experience in many different jobs over the last 6 years. I worked in the Career Development office at university helping students improve professional documents and find jobs. I did an internship in Geneva last summer for an NGO in the legal-field called International Bridges to Justice. I have worked various different jobs in hospitality: catering, waitressing, bartending, festival work, events management. My mum and I also work together to provide pet sitting services for some lovely cats and dogs across London (looking after them at our house, walks, house visits).
In Latvia, I have volunteered with pets and children, in housekeeping and on bee farms.
