Hi!

I’m Ania, a 32-year-old Polish. Long story short - I lived in Poland for a few years until I started travelling at the beginning of 2023.

I'm a nature enthusiast, I have a huge soft spot for mountains, but I wouldn't mind living by the ocean too, waking up every day listening to the waves. Well… let's see what life will bring.

I’m a mix of an outdoor activities freak and a cosy blanket lover. It means I’m eager to get up at 4 am for an all-day-long hike in the mountains, bike the whole day or hitchhike for a week, sleeping in a tent. But I also love spending time under a warm blanket with hot tea and a good movie or having long conversations about life with friends or any other friendly souls. I believe life is about balance and we may need different things at different moments.

I’m open-minded and happy to meet new people and discover their perspectives and opinions. On the other side, I also need my quiet moment from time to time, to recover and charge batteries. I'd call myself a social introvert if we needed to put any label. I'm also pretty observant and self-reflective, constantly learning something about myself and the world in this life journey.

I've dreamt of a longer journey, with no strict plan, and no defined end date for a long, long time. It took me 10 years to take this step. Now, I'm still travelling, more slowly, trying to figure out a digital nomad life :)

Well, I can build you a website or (and) provide you with photography content.

I'm currently directing my career towards freelance Website Designer and Developer, so I'm most interested in a volunteering opportunity where I would design and build a website for you in exchange for a stay!

But I honestly will be open to doing other work too, I'm always happy to collect new experiences and be a part of the community! ;)

Apart from tech (which field I worked in for past years), in the past I’ve been working in restaurants, shops and hotels, doing all the different things, from cleaning to reception, cooking and serving. I’ve been doing some renovations and gardening as well. I'm generally good with manual work, also those requiring precision, eg. painting, or sewing, but those are just examples.

Organizing stuff is something I can give a hand with as well, both organising physical space and organising time or projects.

I’m a quick and eager learner and provided with guidance, I believe I will learn anything :)

My volunteering experience:
- in 2015 I spent a week in Holyhead (Wales, UK, Europe) renovating a very old residence
- in 2015 I spent a week in Ceska Koca (Slovenia, Europe) which is a mountain hut where I helped with everything related to running a mountain hut
- in 2016 I was a part of the EVS Program (European Voluntary Service), so I spent 9 months working for an NGO in Belgium in an outdoor education centre (doing everything, from workshops to working in a canteen)
- in 2023 I spent 4 months working as a breakfast chef in a lodge in Norway, it was a paid position found through Workaway
- in 2024 I spent almost two weeks at Young, Wild and Free Beach Resort (Cambodia) volunteering by creating a website for them
