Hello dear Canadians! :-)
Welcome to our profile. We are Larissa (f/24yo) and Martin (m/26yo) and currently travelling through Canada on an open work permit. We are a positive and enthusiastic couple from Austria who can't wait to explore the beautiful nature of Canada and get to know Canadian culture.

In Austria, we lived together in a small but lovely apartment. In our free time, we enjoy doing sports, going hiking and during the winter we often go skiing. After years of working full-time - Larissa as a project manager and Martin in the federal government as a financial police officer - we decided to quit our jobs and make our dream come true :-)

We bought a car in Toronto and are travelling with our van, so we are pretty flexible.
We are looking forward to travelling all over Canada and having the time of our lives, maybe with you being part of it! ;-)

Que habilidades tienes?

Tasks we helped with in Canada so far:
-Cutting and stacking firewood, insulating a basement, painting doors, repairing compost bins, slaughtering meat birds, driving ATV and Skidoo, a little bit of fishing, cooking/ baking, housekeeping, daily chores at a farm
-LOTS of dog care: we house-/petsitted four different dogs while their owners were on vacation and helped out a husky farm with 20 dogs
-feeding animals (chickens, ducks, horses, sheep), collecting eggs for hatching, deworming horses/donkeys, cleaning pens, bottle feeding of lambs

About us:
We speak fluent German & English, Larissa speaks a little bit of French and Polish, too. We both have siblings, are good with children and can't wait to have a family one day. We also have a full Canadian driver's license. We are not shy to lend a hand and hope to gather as many new experiences as possible. :-)

Larissa (24, f):
I have experience with riding and looking after horses as well as cleaning out stables. I love animals in general. I am a good cook (can cook the traditional Austrian Kaiserschmarrn for you - look it up if you have never heard of it :-) ). I am an open-minded and talkative person who loves to get to know new people and cultures and can't wait to learn more about "the lifestyle on a farm".

Martin (26, m):
Since I have been eight years old I have been a member of the Austrian Scouts in my hometown. During that time I learned some skills like building a camp (sleeping in tents, crafting cooking places, starting fires, chopping wood,...). Back in Austria, I had a gun license and training in first aid. In general, I am an outdoorsy person who is ready for any adventure!
