It's all about meeting and helping people. I travel to learn more about myself and about the world. I've had enough of the corporate life and I'm looking for a new adventure.

My wife is back home in Virginia. I am traveling solo at the moment.

I am quiet and somewhat reserved. I don't enjoy large crowds and parties but I always enjoy a meaningful / intelligent conversation in a small group over beer, wine, or coffee. I am a dual citizen, America and the Republic of Ireland, so I have an EU passport.

I am currently in France and I'm attempting to learn a bit of the language using Babbel.

I have taught English in three different countries. I'm capable of doing gardening and routine house work. I'm not an especially good cook but I can help in the kitchen. I don't have formal construction experience but I can be a helpful set of hands if you can tell me what to do. Most of my professional experience was in project management so I am pretty good at getting things organized.

Jim was an excellent Workawayer, he accomplished a lot of work, often a little more or a little sooner than I anticipated. He was also good company and we had some good conversations, all to often ending with our mutual unease with world politics.

Whilst Jim had some negative points because he worked hard we decided not give him any feedback at all. But, in view of how he describes us we had to give our opinion of him

The accommodation was comfortable. There are two downstairs bedrooms with ensuite toilets. There is a small kitchen downstairs where workaways can make breakfast. I spent a month with Anne and Fitz. Both of them are excellent cooks. During my time there, we did a lot of decluttering and put down new gravel in the courtyard.
