We look forward to an immersion experience in Sweden for 3 to 4 weeks in March 2025. We mow a large yard, maintain a small vineyard, trim trees, make trails, clean up, paint, cook and bake bread.

Descripción

Jeanne has lived and worked in a few countries earlier in her career, including Spain, France, Mexico and Argentina. Her four grandparents were all emigrants from Scandinavia to Minnesota, USA. Jose's family is from Spain originally, but he grew up in Mexico. He studied French literature in France. He was an entrepreneur at a young age. We met in Mexico City, when Jeanne was working for a software company in the 1990s. We live on Jeanne's family farm in Minnesota. We have two grown children.

We aim to be conversant in Swedish! We study Swedish and listen to easy Swedish radio. But we need practice in speaking. Jose has a great deal of experience teaching Spanish.

Que habilidades tienes?

We live on a lakeside farm. Jeanne works full-time leasing apartments, but someday will spend more time renting our barn in the warm months for cultural and educational events, as well as weddings. Jose teaches Spanish, primarily to adults. Ever since the Covid pandemic, he has taught on-line. We study Swedish when we are able, listen to easy Swedish news and radio. We are both active, strong, and like to hike and run on our property, as well as swim in the lake in the summer. Jose loves good literature and is currently doing some writing. He has cleared paths in our woods for us to enjoy and continues to break new trails. Jeanne is handy in the kitchen, bakes sourdough bread a couple times per week, and puts energy into fixing and maintaining our organic farm, including pruning, mowing, and harvesting the grapes from our small vineyard.

We have two children, 24 and 22 years old.
We both are interested in the arts and different cultures.
We enjoy downhill skiing in the winter months; swimming, running, and hiking in the summer months.
