Hi there !
We are Izzy and Theo - coming from the UK. We met teaching English in South East Asia, and have an array of experiences working in multilingual environments that make us an adaptable pair!

I ( Izzy, 22 ) grew up on a farm in the South of England, mainly chickens, geese and a horse or two, but saw many other animals come our way ( from ferrets to giant African land snails!). I've grown up loving the outdoors, which has translated into my ( early ) adulthood years. We moved to a fishing village when I was a teenager, so I'm confident on boats and dealing with tackle. Cleaning jobs too means I am happy with getting dug into a mess ( as well as farm muck!). Hospitality roles such as waitressing showed me nuances of customer service, and teaching English taught me the joy of sharing knowledge ( and what I could learn from the cultures around me). My family are very multicultural, my Mum is from Malaysia and my grandparents are from (and live in) France, and between aunts and cousins, I have family who speak Chinese, German and Portuguese - so I am comfortable adapting!

I (Theo, 22) didn't have as outdoorsy upbringing as Izzy but we do have a large garden at my house in Sussex and I loved helping my father out. I studied Film and English at Bristol University and since graduating, I have been working and traveling in a wide range of places. Izzy and I met in Indonesia where we both taught classes of 8 year olds and then I went over to Vietnam and was teaching students from ages 2 to 18. We both love teaching and really love the language exchange aspects of workaway. I know it sounds like I'm all about the teaching but I am a young, physically fit bloke who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Also I love to cook! (We have no dietary requirements!)

Recently graduating university, we have both travelled before, but are looking for a more meaningful, fulfilling type of travelling. We intend to travel Europe for a few months before we move to Lisbon where jobs await. Neither of us enjoy trips without some sort of work or volunteering , which leads us to Workaway! We are yet to do our first workaway ( thus the no reviews!) but are very excited to start.

Que habilidades tienes?

Izzy:
I've grown up around farm animals and have had dogs my entire life, so very comfortable with pet sitting and beginner farm care ( but excited to learn more!). I have hospitality experience, have worked as a administrator in a school, and done some English teaching too. I've intern-ed as a media support bringing companies up to date with social media and websites, so that is a skill I am confident in also.

Theo:
I am often the cook for my family and friends, which I love doing ( and like to think I'm good at!). I've also done teaching, and am an avid gardener - winning a competition with some sunflowers than I'm very proud of! I've worked as a Digital Marketer in Dublin, so would be able to provide help in this area if so wanted.

We have an array of skills together, but most importantly are both always keen and enthusiastic to learn new things, and get to work!
