Hi everyone,
I'm Franzi, 26 years old and currently based in Freiburg, Germany. I'm about to start my Master's degree in Neuroscience soon, and would like to travel a little bit before that.
In the last years travelling gave me a lot: meeting amazing people, getting to know beautiful places and having great experiences. Although this still holds true now, I've been feeling the urge to change the way I live and travel. Becoming more and more aware of the injustice and inequality of the system we live in made me want to be useful to society and give back wherever I can. I hope through Workaway I can find a way to support valuable projects and be helpful to you!

I've worked in several restaurants and cafes and was able to gain many skills there, as taking care of customers or preparing drinks and food. Growing up in a big patchwork-family and working in the service sector taught me to interact with people in a friendly and open-minded way. I'm an organized and self-sufficient person and I learn quickly, also I'm always keen to learn new skills. I've worked in volunteering contexts before, helping for several months in accommodations for climbers in Turkey and Thailand.
