Hello!!
We are two friends who crossed paths in a very small Australian town called Castlemaine whilst working together in an Austrian style cafe/coffee roastery called Das Kaffehaus.
Since meeting each other, we knew we wanted to see some more of the world together. From April, we are visiting Darwin and Perth before making some stops in South East Asia on our way to Europe. In Europe, we will be parting ways as Darcey's journey will be coming to an end just as Marni's solo travels are beginning!
We are extremely enthusiastic to use Workaway as an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and discover more unconventional ways of enhancing our travels in order to get the most out of our experience. We also love the idea we are helping people in return!

About us:
I'm Marni, a 19 year old from Victoria Australia. Since finishing my final year of high school in November of 2023, I have been saving hard for the past year and a half to allow me to see more of Australia and the rest of world. I enjoy being active and outdoors through running/hiking, playing basketball and swimming. I am a reliable and responsible person and very keen to learn new skills through Workaway.
I'm Darcey from a small island in the British Isles called the Isle of Man. I have a huge adoration for nature, travelling and learning about new cultures. I was backpacking Asia for around 6 months from December 2023 before settling in Castlemaine on a working holiday visa in May 2024. Throughout my travels, I enjoyed volunteering at a dog and cat sanctuary in rural Sri Lanka and also completed around 4 months of a work exchange in Castlemaine. With this experience, I picked up various gardening and maintenance experience on a self-sufficient permaculture farm.
Collectively, we work well together as a team with good communication and work ethic and are both enthusiastic and extremely open minded to new ideas, experiences and opportunities!
