Hola comunidad workaway!
I'm a passionated self taught chef, I made my way through my cooking skills and before COVID I even worked as a gastronomic tour guide taking people to hidden gems only locals would know so tourists could try authentic mexican food 😉
If you like spicy food I can share my recipies with you, and if you are a baker, I'd love to learn! German cakes were superb! And I'd love to have a local to teach me. I'm also curious about wine production, my partner Eduardo owns a small brewery and it's pretty interesting but I'm more of a wine person 🥂 specially white so I'd like to learn about wines if possible, and working at a vineyard would be very cool.
Besides being passionate about food, I'm an animal lover, specially cats ^^ and chickens, I grew up in a big house in the middle of nowhere and most of our neighboors had farm animals and I befriended some while growing up. I still remeber a white rooster that whenever he saw me, he would run towards me to say hi.
Love being outdoors and nature, even more when there's mountains and lakes. We have natural zones in Mexico but sadly some are not so safe to be around, so when I visited the Austrian Alps and had the chance to walk freely and even drink water from the creeks it felt unreal, the experience was amazing and I have been longing to go back ✨
Less noise and more green as Tolkien said. If I can find an experience that involves meal prep, hospitality, tourism, nature and hiking, that would be perfect 🙌
I'm not new to the site, Eduardo and I used to share this account but he's curently working at Perú and I felt the Workaway call again.
I want to take the time to truly explore this beautiful side of the world and be in contact with my european roots by having the immersive experience only spending a couple months there can give.
Let me explain the european roots part, I was born and raised in Mexico but my dad was German so I hold both Mexican and German nationality, sadly, I don't speak German 😓 tut mir leid.
I have the time, will and skills to be a useful member of your team.
I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I've been relying on myself since early age and I also have some farm and baby sitting experience, not a lot but I'm from the idea that all jobs are teachable 😊
I'm a warm and friendly individual, respectful and tidy. I don't smoke nor do drugs and I have a zen personality, definitely not a loud person. I'm used to wear Hausschuhe since I was a kid and I take pride on my sense of responsability and punctuality, my Airbnb reviews are proof, seriously!
And just to add a little more about me, I'm a huge movie buff from Cannes and Criteron to B movies that are so bad they are good lol, love Woody Allen, Tarkovsky, Kurosawa... I'm an avid reader as well, mainly Philosophy and Psychology. What about you? What do you like to read, listen or watch? I'm a great conversationalist and I know we will have lots of topics to talk about and learn from each other.

I would like to learn German so if you can help that would be great! I basically learned English by actually talking to native speakers. Formal teaching is needed of course, but practice makes it perfect 😉
