Hi everyone, I'm a 25 year old guy originally from Cape Town, South Africa. I'm also a Swiss citizen through my family heritage. I guess you could say I'm an engineer by profession, but am currently spending time travelling extensively. I have recently finished working a ski season in the French Alps, and will be travelling for the remainder of the year.
I love having new experiences and meeting new people. I want to fully experience new places and embrace different cultures, and have my world view altered for the better. I have a passion for the great outdoors and adventure sports, particularly surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding and trail running (hiking too).
I'm very interested in sustainability and would love to learn more about how everyone is doing their bit. As someone who likes to keep busy and active helping others as much as I can wherever possible comes as second nature. I enjoy working with others, but have no problem having a go at things solo. I'm looking forward to the adventures that await me :)

I believe one of my biggest strengths is that I am open-minded, hands on and always ready to learn.
I have a degree in engineering and two years experience in my profession as an engineer. Perhaps this demonstrates my academic background and some of my interests, but I am looking for new and different experiences.
I’m enthusiastic and enjoy working with people. I have experience in hospitality having been a resort representative and driver at a ski resort in France, and I also have bar tending experience.
I come from a DIY family and am good at working with my hands. I have some experience with an events company setting up outdoor sporting events, and also did maintenance (and also cleaning) when I worked a ski season.
I am an outdoor sports enthusiast and an experienced surfer and mountain biker. I have experience in many outdoor adventure sports, and would love to engage in these with others, and perhaps even teach or guide.
I am a native English speaker, and am willing to teach others as well as learn from others. I’m just happy to be a part of this wonderful workaway community!
