Hello dear hosts and dear workawayers,

My name is Cecilia and I am 18 years old. I come from Germany and I am a recent high school graduate. Besides German, I speak English and French fluently.

My friends describe me as a relaxed, open and creative person who is always helpful and very organised. I am also a very empathetic person, fundamentally good-humoured and committed to what I do. In my free time I love to read, listen to music, bake from time to time and often go skating. I like to meet up with my friends and am open to meeting new people. Further, I enjoy trying new things.

As I would like to see more of the world, I am taking a gap year to go on a world trip. I'm looking forward to discovering new places and immersing myself in other cultures. I am curious, open-minded and motivated to take on new challenges and tasks and learn new skills.

As a workaway volunteer, I not only want to make a positive contribution, but also benefit from this unique experience by collecting valuable memories and impressions.

As the eldest of three siblings, I am used to taking responsibility and caringly looking after my little brothers. In addition, I have gained valuable experience over the last six years as a babysitter for twins, whom I have looked after regularly since their birth. For the past two years, I have also tutored in English and French in addition to school.
Besides that, I could also gain some experience in the service sector as a waitress in Germany.
Through workaway, I have already worked on a farm in Norway and as an au pair in Iceland and in Switzerland.
