I am a young adult college graduate who has a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies. Through my degree, I was prepared to work with individuals and families in diverse settings, including human and social service agencies, as well as programs for children, adolescents, and young, mid-life, and older adults. I have spent the past five months traveling Europe working on a sailboat with crew from all around the world. My decision to volunteer/work abroad is a testament to the transformative power of travel when combined with a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of others. Traveling represents a fusion of personal growth, cultural exploration, and altruism, creating a meaningful and fulfilling experience for both me as the volunteer and the communities I seek to support.

I would like to discuss my prior experience in related fields. I have worked in U.S. jails to aid in inmate rehabilitation, I worked as a sailing yacht stewardess/deckhand while sailing all across the Mediterranean and visiting corresponding countries, I have worked with Children's Services as a child/parent liaison to families in crisis, I have lived with a family in Italy as an Au Pair, and I was a children's soccer coach for over 3 years. Along with the above professional experience I have additional volunteer experience in humanitarian efforts and certifications in Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility and a Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness. I am physically fit and love the outdoors, hiking and animals. I love connecting with people of different cultures in different walks of their lives. Learning through experience and connection is, to me, the most valuable way to learn about all the beautiful things this life has to offer.

Some hobbies I have are hiking, animals, trying new things and holistic wellness/mental wellbeing. I am willing to learn a plethora of new things and am eager to have my eyes opened to new ways of life, food, cultural traditions and adore listening to other people's life stories.
