There are so many wonderful Workaway opportunities, it’s hard to narrow the choice down to one place. I recently spent time in Morocco -between October and April 22/February 24). I spent time on the edge of the Sahara and taught business English in a small traditional town. I loved the Moroccan people and culture.
I am fit and healthy, having done yoga for most of my life (as well as swimming and dancing). I am flexible, open to new experiences and have a positive attitude.
I am a grandmother with a 15 year old and a 8 year old grandson. I love them to bits (as we say) and enjoy their company and have fun with them. I like children of all ages.
I love nature, especially the sea and the desert and anywhere far away from ‘civilisation’. I love horses and other animals.
I am hard working, funny and fun and easy to get along with. I like meeting and being with people (and other animals) but I also like a bit of peace and quiet.
I have lived and worked in London, Paris, Valencia, the Seychelles and the Sudan. I have been a nurse, a secretary, teacher, and a painter and decorator.
I have been an airbnb host for a few years and have had people coming to my house from all over the world - and it’s been amazing.
I enjoy reading, dancing, films, nature, conversation and am open to new experiences and learning.
This time - May 2025 I am really excited to be coming to Morocco with my 16 year old grandson, Jake. I’ve talked quite a bit about my Workaway experiences and now I would like him to share Workawaying with me. He’s a bright, articulate, kind boy who gets on very well with all sorts of people of all ages.

I am very good at housework with a natural flair for interior decor. As an airbnb host for the past few years I want to make my guests feel comfortable and at home which is partly down to keeping the house clean and the environment pleasant and also due to the fact that I enjoy having guests and am relaxed and friendly. I can do house painting and gardening. I am able to keep calm in a crisis!

I can play backgammon and jenga. I love horses and am interested in natural horsemanship. My main hobby is reading. I also like watching films. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.
