Hello everybody,

My name is Veerle (30 y/o) from The Netherlands. I am about to quit my job to go on an adventure. I am looking for places that spark joy in me. That could mean a variety of things. What I would love the most is being able to contribute to a place/peoples lives by bringing my creativity and arts. Next to that I'd like to take care of pets, I'd like to help out at a hostel, I can help with daily chores, I'd like to paint walls and other contructions, to learn about cob building and to meet new people.

I do appreciate hard work when well balanced with good vibes and moments of relaxation. But I do enjoy a laid back environment a lot.
I'd love to be spending my time in lush nature or vast areas with mountains or hills.

What motivates me is the desire to experience things deeply. I would like to know how different places feel, how it feels to work THERE, with THOSE people, animals, materials. What brings me happiness: experiencing the vastness of nature, being inside by a fire when it's pouring/freezing outside, hearing about all the different walks of lives from others, being close to the production of the food I eat and dancing.

I have a diploma in organic (biodynamic) farming and have worked in fine vegetable production. So I am capable of working in a (professional) garden, I can help setting up a garden.

I can help with decorative tasks around the house, such as painting.

If someone can explain how to do certain things, I am curious about building tasks around the house. I can work very detailed, precice and accurate.

I can draw quite nicely and have designed two logos for friends of mine. Not yet skilled in digitalizing them though. I can also help with signage, decorative art and such.

I also enjoy creating order in other people's paperwork (not so much my own haha).

I speak English quite well and my mother tongue is Dutch. I can speak a bit of German too.

I love to go on walks in nature. I will have to train my body to go on longer hikes. I would love to go on a long trip with all the stuff I need on my back.
I enjoy to experiece ancient/historical sites, such as castle ruins and stone circles. Those kind of places offer a glimpse of how people lived their lives a long time ago. That fascinates me.

I enjoy writing poems. I like to sing, especially in harmony with others. I am passionate about local foon production and all kinds of CSA (community supported agriculture) practices.
Also, I am a Dutch cheese lover. I will miss it a lot when I'm abroad ;-)
