‘What motivates you?’
In December of 2023, I graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration. After almost five years of living in the US and being a collegiate student-athlete, I returned home to Argentina to analyze what I would do next.
Even though I am keen to further my studies, given I would like to become a sustainable project manager in the field of renewable energy, I find myself wanting to slow down a bit in terms of must-dos and enjoy the journey in a different way. For me at this point that means to see the world.
Seeing the world feels quite broad, so I started diving deeper into what that means for me. Although I am from my beloved Argentina, my family has both Italian and French roots, which is probably why I feel incredibly attracted to getting to know in depth all that has to do with those two countries. Therefore, this new journey starts there.
Apart from that, I have other personal pursuits. In my quest of getting to know our own race and Mother Nature from different angles than where I come from, and where I’ve already been, I embark on this journey with that filter in mind. Some subjects that currently interest me and would love to go more in depth are organic farming, permaculture, and connection with nature. I’m also interested in learning about ancient cultures and their wisdom, such as yoga, our chakras, and kundalini energy for example.
On my way to the incredible places with the teachers of life that await there, I would love to see historical places that are both nature and human-made. I'm mostly looking forward to meeting amazing people with different backgrounds and learn about their culture - from gastronomy to cultural norms, ways of thinking, and practices.
Overall, I look forward to having amazing experiences, being of service where I’m at, and treasuring the memories that come along the way, remembering this period of my life as ‘the time I was in my 20s and went backpacking around the world to volunteer, and that changed my life forever.’

‘Provide some information about yourself and what brings you happiness:’
My name is Valentina, and most people who know me call me Valen, Val, or just ‘amiga‘ for my Argentine friends. I grew up in Corrientes (Capital), Argentina, and some years in Bella Vista, a small city in the province of Corrientes. Growing up, I always played tennis, and when I was 17, I moved to Buenos Aires to train and compete; after a year I moved to the US, given I was awarded an athletic scholarship at a Uni to play for them and complete my higher studies.
My two passions are the countryside and the sport of tennis; I find them fun. A year ago, I started managing an Eco Park we have with my family close to Bella Vista; it is called Parque Ita Pora (you can find it as @parqueitapora on Instagram). I’m particularly passionate about the native tree nursery in the park; therefore, I mostly manage that area. I do things such as managing trees’ donations and sales to urbanizations, with several things in between! Always working as a team. I also like volunteering myself in the tree nursery. Regarding tennis, I played it so much growing up that I feel I'm taking a break, yet I know it will always be part of my life and a beautiful hobby in some shape or form. What I enjoy most about tennis is competing, playing matches, having fun hitting with friends, and coaching the little ones occasionally.
Even though those things bring me joy, nothing compares to other things I feel are at the top of my priorities: health (physical, emotional, mental) and my loved ones (family, and friends that are like family). Although I like globetrotting, I always enjoy coming home for Christmas and New Years, talking to my loved ones almost weekly, and prioritizing the habits that keep me well balanced.
Given my thirst for knowledge and curiosity about people worldwide, I choose to embark on this journey with the conviction that my future self will be grateful that I did. I look forward to connecting with incredible humans and generating expansive exchanges simply based on our love for life experiences, having fun and nourishing my mind & soul with the adventures that lay ahead!Intereses

My current end goal for the next few years is to be fluent (close to C2 level) in these four languages: - Spanish - English - Italian - French Spanish is my first language (Argentine Spanish); therefore, I’m fluent in it. Regarding English, I lived in the US for some years, therefore I feel comfortable speaking it (although I keep learning and polishing my pronunciation and grammar). In terms of Italian and French, I’ve mostly spent several hours listening to podcasts and YouTube videos to get my first exposure to the languages. Yet, my goal is to understand them perfectly and to speak them fluently. So far, I can understand and speak some Italian, and I’m a bit behind that in French. I would like to master Italian first, but given I’m currently a beginner in both, learning some of any of the two won’t do any bad.Habilidades y conocimientos que quiero compartir o aprender

Que habilidades tienes?
I have a bachelor’s in Business Administration and am currently taking a Google Certification in Project Management; therefore, I’m familiar with and sincerely enjoy doing activities that have to do with those areas, from managing, creating, and polishing systems, budgeting, and bookkeeping, doing and controlling administrative tasks, preparing reports, and other tasks related to the area. I’m proficient in Word, excel, and other tools for preparing reports and managing projects.
I’m also a former collegiate tennis player and club coach, with a particular interest in initiation in the sport and high performance; therefore, another skill I have is coaching and being a hitting partner for tennis.
Another great interest is learning and helping with anything related to sustainable, triple-bottom-line projects. The area that interests me the most (out of environmental, social, and economic) is the environmental one. I lived in the countryside for about four weeks in 2023, volunteering for the native tree nursery I manage at my family’s eco-park. I also learned a little about growing veggies, wanting to become a ‘professional’ in it, and the best ways and systems to do it. I also get along with horses and love any activities involving them.
Finally, I’m deeply interested in anything related to clean energy, primarily solar and wind. I’m looking forward to visiting Solar and wind farms to learn more about them, and it would be a huge blessing for me to be involved in projects where this type of technology is integrated in some form.Edad
