A physicist and astronomer by education, but an explorer by heart. I have a passionate desire to explore the whole world and all its strange and exciting nuances. I love meeting new people and learning about them. I enjoy being active and on my feet when I work and I embrace a challenge. I find joy in both nature and cities and I find myself feeling happiest when I have the opportunity to explore both.

I enjoy hiking and I have completed the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal for charity, raising over £3000 for the Meningitis Research Foundation. It was during this trip that I learned that I could push myself and achieve big things. I have backpacked alone a lot too, mainly in Europe but also to Cambodia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. During my time solo travelling, I learned about the joy of meeting people from all around the world and hearing them speak of their culture and how they got to the place I met them.

From Workaway, I would like the opportunity to meet new people and take part in or plan fun, active events for the people I meet. I want to immerse myself in a different culture and learn a new language. Whilst doing so, I will be working on the side as a digital nomad. I am willing to help out in any way necessary. I have training in woodworking and general DIY from a Product Design A-level, and I have a bachelor's degree in Physics with Astronomy.

I am fit and capable of heavy lifting and active work. I love hiking and planning activities that get people moving. I have worked in hospitality for 4 years waiting tables. I have also worked as a fundraising director at a university for a year. During that time, I planned events, helped others with their charity work, and carried out administrative work. I was once a tour guide for a travel company, leading groups of up to forty students to various destinations in Europe from the UK. My mother tongue is English, and I can speak basic Spanish and Italian. I am creative, and am, in fact, currently writing a book on the joy of travelling without a plan. I am willing to carry out any type of work necessary.

I am an experienced guitarist and regularly perform at open mics, both alone and with other singers. I like to write my own music. I read regularly and I have a Facebook blog where I have written about my travels. I genuinely love to learn about anything and will read about anything that I don't understand.
