Born and raised in London, England (Bangladeshi origins), I am currently an English teacher in Indonesia. I have experience working in the emergency department in a hospital, restaurants, hospitality, customer service and university events. Working in hospital as a medical assistant was very fast-paced and really helped me learn how to work under pressure in critical situations in a demanding job whilst working in all these jobs has been rewarding since I love being around people.
I really love connecting with others - whether that is through working on a big project with each other, teaching or sharing a fun experience travelling with others - friendships is something which brings a deep shared joy between us.
Although this is my first time on workaway, I have experience hosting people on Couchsurfing.com - a website based on hosting travellers for free in your own home. I did this when I was a university student in London when I had a spare room available and found it very rewarding. I even keep in touch with many of the friends I hosted to this very day!
