My and my high school best friend Susannah, are planning to travel somewhere this summer. We haven’t seen each other since we graduated a year ago. We’re hoping to find an opportunity that brings us together once again. It would mean the world to me because we're like each other’s soul mates!
Chin Han (Summer): What motivates me is being able to help animals, people, and the planet. I’m a huge ocean lover. If I can, I spend most of my time in the sea. Knowing that there are so many animals out there that are suffering due to human actions makes me want to make a change in this world.
What brings me happiness is service, helping people with whatever they need. And other simple things like music, food, friends, nature etc…
Susannah: I’ve always been the kind of person to never pick one certain area of interest. I like to cover my bases when it comes to skills and work my hardest to help and be there for others and troubleshoot whenever the opportunity arises. I'm a good leader and I'm always very calm and collected under pressure. I always love learning new things, meeting new people, creating new memories, playing games, and honestly just having a good time.
What makes me happy is manual labor, getting dirty, food, playing instruments, friends, sports, art, and adventuring, etc.

Summer: I’m a English tutor, I have taught 13 students. My native language is Chinese, but I’ve never taught anyone Chinese before. Susannah: I've taught English to children in Africa for a brief trip of mine and although not entirely equipped for it, I would definitely do it again. As well as this, I am also very intrigued by other cultures languages. It's something I've always been fascinated by (the cultural, geographical, and historical aspects) and I believe that learning someone else's language is the best way to show compassion and respect as well as gain comfort for yourself. I want to go to school for language and hopefully, one day, be fluent in more than just one.

Que habilidades tienes?

Summer: I grew up in Taiwan and moved to the US when I was 13, so I’m fluent in both Chinese and English. Ever since I was a child, I’ve known the importance of work hard, and I’m passionate about almost anything. I have done much work as a teenager, including helping my family construct our house, moving bricks, lots of cleaning, mowing the lawn, volunteering I also worked as a waitress for 5 years, worked at homedepot and old navy for half a year. In school, I did flags for 2 years with the marching band and swim team for a year. Furthermore, I have done working holidays for one month on an island called Lanyu, off the cost of Taiwan, and 2 weeks at a surf shop in Taitung, Taiwan. I have a big belief that I can do anything, because I like fulfilling my life with challenges and beautiful stories. With every experience, not only does it help me grow, it also helps me understand the world a bit better.
Susannah: I've grown up working with my family and at school on countless projects. through these experiences I've gained skills with construction and landscaping. I can help troubleshoot with smaller projects as well. I've gardened and operated heavy machinery and enjoy building and setting things up. In school my main skills were gained in woodshop and sports so I'm no stranger to injury, dirt, and sweating. As of right now I work at Ace Hardware which has also helped increase my knowledge of good products to use for multiple areas of home development and my skills with being a leader, troubleshooter, and heavy lifter.

Summer: I’m obsessed with the ocean so I love absolutely anything sea-related, including Freediving, surfing, wakeboarding, or just swimming while enjoying the oceans presence. I am a nature girl so I also like hiking, working out , doing yoga, Mediating.
I also like cooking, playing music, singing, going anywhere. There’s not a thing in this world that I don’t like. I’m very conscious of every action I take because I love the earth and animals.
Susannah: I love always being on the move and doing something with other people. Although schedules don’t always agree with me, and I do enjoy relaxation, the feeling of having one thing planned after the other fills me with so much joy. I’m a big joker, dancer, singer, and tomboy but know how to reserve myself and be respectful, kind, and polite when necessary.
I also enjoy more things like outdoor sports, motorcycles, city life, hiking, listening to music, and exploring.
