Hi! My name is Stefanie, I am 25 years old and grew up in a big family in a small town in Austria. I have recentley finished my Masters degree in Sports,- Culture & Events Management and I am planning to fulfil one of my biggest dreams and spend a year (starting October 2023) in Australia on a working holiday visa. I am a passionate solo traveler and I love meeting locals, learn about new cultures and experience a different way of living. I especially enjoy putting myself in new situations and learn as much as possible from others. I love being surrounded by animals, staying in remote areas in-between visiting big cities and I am very passionate about sports of all kinds and cooking. One of my best friends often describes me as a "social butterfly", I am very open-minded, reliable, a very easy-going person and I usually always have a smile on my face.

I love different cultures and meeting people from all around the world, hence languages are a passion of mine and I love improving and learning from others. I speak fluent German as it is my mother tongue, I have never really taught anyone German in a professional way but I am very open to teach as good as possible. English is my now like my second mother tongues as I completed all of my higher education in English. I used to live in France for a few months, I was fluent back then however in my free time I try to keep my French at a good level. Spanish is another language that I am very interested in, I can understand most of it however with speaking I am still in the beginners phase.

I have currently finished my Masters degree in Tourism and Hospitality and have been working in various different jobs during my studies. I have recentley been working in a boutique Hotel in a lovely small town in Austria and I loved meeting new people/guests on a daily basis. It taught me how to deal with stressful situations, taking responsibility as I was mostly alone during my shifts. I also have many years of experience in waitressing and bartending.

In my free time I love cooking, experimenting with vegan meals and baking, being in the kitchen is one of my favourite things. I have been living in my own or in shared flats for many years now, I know how to run a household, doing laundry and much more. I have a hands-on mentality, I am a quick learner and whenever I do something new I am willing to get any job done as good as possible :)

I am always up for a night filled with board and card games, my friends and I often spend hours playing UNO. I try to live a very active life and my absolute passion is playing beach volleyball and going for very long runs that I mostly enjoy if someone decides to join me. Nothing makes me more happier than being surrounded by animals no matter if cats, dogs, sheeps or chickens, I love taking care of them all.

I also enjoy spending time with elderly, may it helping with going for grocery runs or just spending an afternoon together playing cards and talking about life :)

I have recentley discovered my interest regarding the ocean, sailing and working on a boat. I've recentely joined a crew on Kangaroo Island that specialises on ocean safaris with dolphins and seals and I've never been happier. I would love to learn more about diving, marine life and boats in general.
