Hello from Germany
with 56 I might not be the typical workaway but I think travelling, getting to know different cultures keeps us young at heart and open minded- which I think is so important for peace in this world.
I will be going on an introductory cycling tour in Morocco from October 4th to October 14th this year. From November 4th to November 18th I will be leading a cycling tour in Morocco myself, on which I was on an introductory trip last year.
Between the two tours, from October 14th to November 18th. I have time for myself. I would like to get to know Morocco better for myself and immerse myself in Morocco a little more. I think a good way to do that is through "work & travel". I'm looking for a place where I can help/ work a little bit in exchange for room and board with the background to get a better understanding of "life in Morocco" and the culture "hands on".
I simply love nature. I love to travel because both open up my mind. I love children because they light up my heart and they are the future.
If you are interrested in getting to know me a bit better- here is more:
I come from the communicative Rhineland in Germany and have lived since over 23 years in the beautiful south in Freiburg- a small University town.
Right after highschool I worked for a year as an aupair in Corona del Mar, sunny California. Back in Düsseldorf I did an internship as a hotel clerk. Missing California so much, I went back to San Francisco and studied Hotel- & Toursim Management and worked afterwards for a wellknown tour operator as an office staff, where the work and life of a tourguide startet to fascinate me. Before I went back to Germany I backbacked through South America for 6 month and learned spanish- too bad, that I forgot most of that language skill.
Back in Germany I found a job at also a wellknown tour operator . But I wanted to work outside in the "fields", outside with people. So I worked as a tour and bicyle guide in the summer on various Greek Islands- biking, hiking, doing boat tours with the guests but also doing the children's program, which I really liked. And in the winter I guided bicycle tours for a Swiss tour operator in Thailand and Bali, which I work for ever since:) (nowdays in the backoffice from home and now guiding a bicyle tour in Moocco:):):, after over 25 years very exciting).
Once, after guiding the tours on Bali, I wanted to make a dream come true and wwoofed for 4 month in New Zeeland- what a great experience- with 2 of the 3 families I lived for, I am still in contact and friends with.
After a view years I moved back to Germany. Since I always have loved the mountains and I loved working on a farm as a teenager, I worked on a farm up in the bavarian mountains, melking cows but also helping at the mountain restaurant.
Worked and travelled in so many wonderful places, always follwed my heart and then my biggest journey startet- my cute little daughter was born. Can´t say it was easy as a single mom but, now beeing 22 -she is my biggest gift!
The first years I took care of my daughter and gave playful English classes to children. After 3 years I worked on a farm again- making cheese. When my daughter was a little older, I started to work for a tour operator who sells & and organizes tours to Icland. So I got to travel quite a view times to Icland- and I fell in love with the country. My goal was always to work in nature and maybay as a tour guide again once my daughter grew up.
Well and then we hat Corona- and I got very sick for 2 years. And after I was fine again, I had a very bad accident and almost died. So that last year I took my time and was an "apprentice of the year" and travelled and learned again " in the field" in my a lot.
Last year I worked for example in childcare for an ecological family tour operator on Corfu. I have wwoofed already in New Zealand for 4 months, worked on farms. I used to guide bice tours in Thailand and Bali and various Greek Islands

I learned in a hotel. Later on I studied Hotel & Tourism in San Francisco. I used to be a tour guide , as a cycle guide but also hiking and taking care of kids. I used to give playful English classes to children. I worked part time for various tour operators. I worked on a farm, I love gardening and collecting herbs and producing my own lip balm and oils.

I love creative writing:) and I am happy to show you how to start creative writing.
I might not be a specialist in pretty much anything, but I am interrested to learn. I am not an expert in gardening but I have my own garden and grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, ... and for a while I had an additonal small peace of land and grew very delious potatoes:). I believe in growing vegetables with natural remedies.
I try to avoid using plastic, especially micro plastic in cosmetics. I love collecting my herbs in the garden or in the forrest and making tea out of it or natural cosmetics.
I enjoy preparing simple but healthy meals, and having fun at experementing yummy food without sugar.
I believe that self reflecting is the first step to solve conflicts peacfully.
