Hello there! My name is Sanja, I'm a Slovenian girl who was born and raised in Germany until I was 10, then spent 11 more years in Slovenia and then 5 very adventurous ones in Tokyo, Japan first studying and later working as a photographer, model, manager, translator and PA.
Returning to Europe in 2016, for the last 6ish years, I have been working as an artist manager (incl. travel logistics, tour support, administration and social media management) for a musical project called Juno Reactor and travelled a good part of the world touring while also working as a photographer, graphic designer (incl. website design, VR & AR) and IT all-around.

From March 2022 till January 2023 I was living in the far north of Sweden, working as a manager and all-around support for a sled dog kennel - which evolved out of a volunteer trip which was found here on workaway :)
Tasks included but weren't limited to:
    - optimizing processes in the kennel, finding solutions for existing problems or infrastructure, and enhancing the general situation through research and implementation (incl. the unique challenges of living in the forest as well as -40 degrees in winter)
    - overseeing booking systems, putting tours and activities on Viator, TripAdvisor, Airbnb experiences, Airbnb hosting, Checkfront, integration with social media platforms, communication with local agencies
    - creating new activities, overseeing them, promoting them
    - creating a new website for the company, adding all the expanded activities and content, unique promotional text, and graphics
    - creating photo and video material, flyers, brochures, posters, graphic material for social media, and promo videos and sharing them on social media
    - co-hosting Airbnb accommodations, repairs, cleaning, decoration
    - caring for 61 dogs, general maintenance of the kennel, daily feeding and cleaning (later on this was passed on to volunteers), grooming and washing the dogs, cleaning the equipment
    - training puppies and lead dogs, interacting with the rest
    - caring for injured and ill dogs, researching illnesses, administering medications, pulling stitches, and going to vet visits
    - preparing the material and back-end for multi-day tour packages, connecting with activity providers, and tour managing, main contact with customers, handling logistics and special requests as well as custom tours
    - picking mushrooms and berries, gardening, digging drainage canals, taking care of the infrastructure through the different times of the year
    - managing IG account: snowdogarcticadventure and creating daily stories, engaging with guests and fans
    - learned to drive: snowmobile, dog-sled, ATV; briefly: bulldozer
    - a lot of crisis management...

    March 2023 - May 2023
Sailed 200 nautical miles through Puerto Rico and USVI on a custom Morrelli & Melvin 62 foot performance catamaran called Nizhoni, learning to sail and maintain such a boat (check my IG _immortalangel for videos about that). Did a lot of underwater photography and drone photography on each location we stayed at.
Next I sailed from Miami over Nassau (Bahamas) to Bermuda - a bit over 1000nm - on a Lagoon 50 called Nauti Cat, doing day and night watches and helping maintain the boat.

In my quest for a new chapter, I am in search of a role that not only offers inspiration and adventure but also provides fair compensation. I am eager to find opportunities that enable me to continue exploring new places, embracing different cultures, and engaging in meaningful work. Whether it's project management, artist management, or a role that allows me to leverage my diverse skill set in the middle of wild nature, I am ready to take on challenges, assume varied responsibilities, and embark on a journey of perpetual learning and growth.

(Photos in my "photos" section as well as on my website skmusic.eu are all taken by me (except for a few where I'm on), including videos)

I have a Snowmobile License issued by the Swedish transport agency.

I've made a page (first meant just as a photography portfolio page) outlining and organising my experience and skills, so feel free to click on the various buttons and read more about it. I also welcome you to explore the project pages (in the menu) of Snowdog and Juno Reactor and how my work there looked in photo and video.

I like solving problems - identify, research, learn, solve, and optimise (that's pretty much my job). I can help with the online presentation of businesses or projects, provide photography and videography services, and help visualize your renovation project (3D architecture/interior visualization, 3D scanning, creating floor plans etc), if you have a music project ill be able to help you a lot (6 years of wild-west hands-on experience in the music industry), My parents are very passionate about sustainability, ecological food and gardening so I've been learning a lot about that through the years.

I can tell you a lot about Japanese culture (and German and British) as I have experienced and learned a lot there. I dare to believe I have a good understanding of animals, how to interact with them, and care for them (called 68 Alaskan huskies my family for 9 months).
What else ... business development, product development, logistics in tourism or travel, calligraphy, website design, project management, event organisation, sewing, diving, ...

What I very much look forward to on volunteer trips is learning something completely new and random (like planting rice in Yakushima or milking cows in Iceland) immersing myself in that work without the usual modern life and stress-type thoughts, experiencing new lifestyle ways and broadening my horizon.

Passionate about photography (from macro, underwater, over "normal" to 360 and drone), animals (training, caring for, cuddling the living hell out of), travel (obviously), 3D modelling, 3D scanning, psychology (and reading/exploring/chatting about it), new interesting or unusual tech (AI, IR cameras, brain wave reading headbands, XR...), sponging up new knowledge and skills - I think the point of life is to keep learning, being inspired, evolving and enjoying all the different interesting things the world has to offer.
