Hello! I'm Rose and I am using workaway to make new friends and learn about other people and places! I am American, originally from NY state. I now work in Idaho as a wildland firefighter. I love to travel and study languages (I'm conversational in Chinese and French, a beginner in Spanish). I like to spend time outdoors and explore new places. I enjoy hiking, running, reading, cooking, and generally new challenges and environments. I am a hard worker and enjoy working with other people. I'm traveling while I am off work for the winter.

*Wildland Firefighter, Standard wildland certifications, I am experienced/certified to use a chainsaw under certain circumstances (will not fell near buildings, trees that are too complicated for my level of experience or with unsafe equipment) I am in great shape and enjoy physical projects outside

*ESL Teacher with 2 years of experience (adults and children, classroom and tutoring, I am CELTA certified.

*Multilingual, I speak mandarin Chinese fluently and have a bachelors degree in it, I also speak French and am learning Spanish

*Cooking. I am comfortable cooking large meals for many people, while I have no specific qualifications for this it is an area I like to help out with and am always looking to learn more

*Customer service/hospitality, I worked many customer service jobs throughout highschool and college, I have developed excellent people skills as a result of experience waitressing as well as other customer service jobs
