Hallo liebe Gastgeberinnen und Gastgeber,

mein Name ist Robin und ich komme ursprünglich aus dem Norden von Deutschland, in der Nähe von Hamburg. Ich bin 32 Jahre alt und studiere derzeit an der Universität für meinen Master im Landschaftsbau. Ich bin in einer ländlichen Gegend aufgewachsen und habe drei Brüder, eine Halbschwester und vier Stiefschwestern. Bei uns zu Hause war daher immer viel los, und jeder musste seinen Teil zum Alltag beitragen. In meiner Freizeit bin ich gerne unterwegs und treffe mich mit Freunden zum Radfahren, Spielen von Gesellschaftsspielen oder einfach in geselliger Runde zum Grillen oder Kochen. Wenn ich mal nicht unterwegs bin, nutze ich die Gelegenheit zum Lesen oder zur Weiterbildung. Außerdem reise ich gerne, wobei meine eher schlechten Englischkenntnisse oft im Weg stehen. Deshalb hoffe ich, meine Fähigkeiten während meines Aufenthalts in Kanada verbessern zu können. Falls ihr noch Fragen habt, immer raus damit.

My name is Robin and I originally come from the north of Germany, near Hamburg. I am 32 years old and currently studying for my master's degree in Landscape Architecture at the university. I grew up in a rural area and have three brothers, a half-sister, and four step-sisters. Our home was always lively, and everyone had to contribute their part to daily life. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and meeting friends for cycling, playing board games, or simply gathering for a barbecue or cooking session. When I'm not out and about, I take the opportunity to read or educate myself further. Additionally, I love to travel, although my rather poor English skills often hinder me. Hallo liebe Gastgeberinnen und Gastgeber,

schon als Teenager war ich gerne an der frischen Luft und habe gerne im Garten gearbeitet. Irgendwann habe ich den Entschluss gefasst, meine Leidenschaft für das Grüne auch für meinen beruflichen Werdegang zu nutzen, und habe mich für eine Ausbildung zum Gärtner mit Schwerpunkt Garten- und Landschaftsbau entschieden. In diesem Beruf habe ich lange Zeit gearbeitet und dabei viele schöne Projekte realisiert, angefangen beim Terrassenbau (aus Holz, Stein und Keramik) über Mauerbau, Teichbau, Zaunbau bis hin zu Pflasterarbeiten. Neben der Bautechnik habe ich meine Kenntnisse über Pflanzen im Laufe der Jahre stetig verbessert.

An einem bestimmten Punkt wollte ich jedoch meine fachliche Expertise weiter ausbauen und habe Landschaftsarchitektur (Bachelor of Engineering) an der Universität studiert und anschließend in diesem Bereich gearbeitet. Um meine berufliche Karriere weiter voranzutreiben, habe ich letztes Jahr beschlossen, meinen Master im Landschaftsbau zu absolvieren.

Während meiner langjährigen Berufserfahrung wurde ich immer wieder vor Herausforderungen gestellt und habe regelmäßig Verantwortung übernommen. Ich scheue mich nicht vor harter Arbeit und freue mich darauf, coole Projekte mit euch umzusetzen.

Hello dear hosts,

Ever since I was a teenager, I've enjoyed being outdoors and working in the garden. At some point, I decided to turn my passion for greenery into my career path and chose to train as a gardener with a focus on garden and landscape construction. I have worked in this profession for a long time and have realized many beautiful projects, ranging from terrace construction (made of wood, stone, and ceramic) to wall construction, pond construction, fence construction, and paving work. In addition to construction techniques, I have continuously improved my knowledge of plants over the years.

At a certain point, I wanted to further expand my expertise and studied landscape architecture (Bachelor of Engineering) at university, followed by working in this field. Last year, I decided to pursue my Master's degree in landscape construction to further advance my career.

Throughout my many years of professional experience, I have been faced with challenges time and again and have regularly taken on responsibility. I am not afraid of hard work and look forward to implementing exciting projects with you.
