Hello! ☺

WE ARE IN SPAIN (Castelló de la Plana) NOW. But we're NOT looking for new hosts for now.

We are happy to be a part of this awesome web space.
We're Paul and Lana, we are a married couple (since 2012) from Kaliningrad, a city between Poland and Lithuania in the Baltic Sea region.

We are people with healthy life habits. Although we don't have any children of our own, we have a special place in our hearts for them. In our home country, we have two small nephews and a niece who bring so much love and joy into our lives whenever we get to see them. We believe that spending time with children is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences in life.

We hope that our photos will show you a small piece about us and our life moments here in Spain. We are so grateful for the warmth and kindness that we have received from our host families, and we are eager to continue this journey by forming new connections and building new relationships. Whether it's living with a family or being part of a small community, we are excited to immerse ourselves fully in Spanish culture and contribute in any way we can. ☺

• Our language of communication is English but we can understand a little bit of Spanish.

• Lana had some experience as a babysitter, she worked also in the kindergarten. She really likes spending time with children. Lana is very patient, and attentive, she enjoys every moment and loves to motivate, and inspire children. Lana was an English teacher and organized birthday parties for children. She loves creating handmade things and cooking.

• Paul is the kind of person who loves to help, just show the problem or ask and he can do it.
It's difficult to say what he can't do because he really tries to do everything. =) He has a lot of experience with making different wooden projects.

He is a lifestyle & travel photographer, and photo editor who creates photo & video content.
Photography is his passion, he loves taking photos of nature, beautiful views, and people of course! Paul also works in 3D visualization (interior design). Lana has some experience in home interior design & home space organizing.

• In March 2022 we left our home country with 2 backpacks and our 2 sweetest cats, we travel with them. We lived in Poland, Gdańsk for 3 months.

• From the end of May until the end of September we lived in a small village in Aragon, Spain with a host with 2 dogs. We finished a lot of projects during 4 months there, here are some of the biggest ones:
we helped her to renovate a swimming pool, (put tiles and cleaned the pool),
Paul helped her with electricity,
we did renovations in one of her rooms,
we put tiles on the floor and on the walls in the bathroom,
we built a path from the stones,
we restored some chairs and a wooden table.

• From October we lived in the countryside close to Valls (Tarragona) with an amazing Catalan family with 3 daughters, they have 2 dogs, a donkey, and chickens.
We helped them
in their winery (but we don't drink alcohol☺),
in the field with olive trees, hazelnuts, fruit trees, carob trees,
carpentry with wooden furniture,
domestic tasks (cleaning the house, cooking)
and playing with the girls ☺

During our stay with them, my husband and I wanted to show our appreciation for their hospitality by creating a special Christmas decoration (you can see a photo of it in the gallery). We hope that this decoration will not only serve as a reminder of our time with this family but also become a cherished part of their holiday traditions. We believe that creating something with our own hands for our host family was the perfect way to express our warm feelings of gratitude and appreciation.

• !! From January until now, we have been living in Benicassim (Valencia), close to Castelló de la Plana, with a Spanish family that has 5 children and 4 dogs. Our cats live with us in a closed room, so it's not a problem for anyone.

Usually, we help with cleaning the house here. We have also painted benches in the garden. Paul has completed several wooden projects, including painting the wooden front door, restoring a wooden kitchen table that is about 30 years old, and installing sliding doors in the room. Additionally, he has repaired bicycles for children and adults.

♡ And, of course, we are still spending many wonderful moments with Dante, our host family's youngest son, who quickly became a dear friend to us. When he sees us, he immediately screams "Lana Paul, Lana Paul!" ☺
His laughter and playful energy bring so much joy into our lives, and we love nothing more than spending time with him and watching him explore the world around him. Our time with Dante is filled with precious memories that we will always treasure.
We especially enjoy watching Dante's fascination with my husband's woodworking projects, and how he always wants to help Paul with fixing anything in the garden. Seeing Dante's curiosity and eagerness to learn will be a true highlight of our stay with this wonderful family.
