Hey there!

My name is Paloma and I am from Madrid, Spain. Currently I am studying Global Sustainability Science in Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I'm 22 at the moment and I speak French, Spanish and English and I'm also learning Dutch. I moved to the Netherlands last year because of the study I'm doing. I am currently working as a bartender here part time while I study.

I had an amazing first workaway experience last year and although I don't have that much time to travel right now because of my studies I would love to take advantage of the summer season and do a solo trip again through workaway.

A little bit about myself: I am a very active person and I love doing outdoor activities such as hiking. I also really enjoy pottery, climbing, cooking... I'm a really social person although I also love spending time alone. My favorite thing in the world is being in nature, and I would love to get involved in an ecological project. My studies are very focused on sustainability so I believe I could bring fresh ideas regarding this topic.

Nevertheless, I'm not looking for a specific project and I'm down to get my hands dirty if needed :) I have experience in gardening, housekeeping, hospitality, reception and teaching and I'm willing to learn new skills.

Que habilidades tienes?

I have lived abroad for long periods of time, so I am quite an independent person and know how to take care of myself.
Although I am very young, I've lived alone for a while so I take care of the house everyday doing the laundry, cleaning and cooking among other tasks which I have no problem performing. I specially enjoy cooking and I have experience working in kitchen in a vegetarian restaurant.
Last year I worked at an academy teaching english for kids, and I also have experience in particular lessons of spanish, english and other topics such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, english & biology mainly.
I also have experience in hospitality. At the moment I'm working as a bartender and I have also worked in kitchen, and in a catering for events as well as a receptionist at a hotel.
Although I haven't professionally worked with animals, I'm really used to being around them and taking care of them.

The sports I practice are climbing, basketball, snowboard, surf (basic level), hiking, boxing & yoga (basic level) but I would really enjoy learning any other.
I also really like music and I know how to play the drums and the xylophone.
I love literature too.
