Hi, I am Natacha from Belgium, Ghent. Travelling and volunteering in animal shelters are my passion. I have a degree in animal care (I work as a lab technician, because in Belgium it's not easy to work as a veterinary assistant) and it has always been a dream to work with animals. Via workaway I already volunteered in a few animal sanctuaries and in my home town I helped as a volunteer in a dog adoption cafe.
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking volunteer who is easy going, reliable, adaptable, caring and I live a vegan lifestyle.

We loved having Natacha and Johan stay with us. They were a huge help to us and we really appreciated all the care they gave to the animals. They worked hard but also fitted in like part of the family. We would welcome them back here any time!

We stayed with Robyn and Malcolm for a bit longer then 2 weeks and we had a very lovely time, they are truly wonderful hosts.
We really admire what Robyn and Malcolm do, it's great to see that there are people who care for the welfare of animals, so heartwarming.

This couple were really lovely. They tackled any job I gave them with a smile. They did an excellent job on the Kangaroo shelter they built together. It was their first attempt at this kind of work. Nina really does a wonderful job, we admire everything she does for all kinds of animals. She really makes a difference, there should be more people like her.

Initially planning a two week stay, Natacha and Johan ended up staying with us for just over a month in April – May 2017.
They are hard workers and great people, both with positive ‘can do’, ‘never give up’ attitudes.

This was our first experience with workaway and it was absolutely fabulous! We loved it with Jacq and Scarlet, it felt more like a cosy home for us. We even extended our stay, eventually we stayed over a month.
