Hi everyone!
We are Mirko and Miriam, a couple from Italy!
We are from Mugello, a valley near Florence surrounded by the Apennines.
We have lived two years in Ferrara, in northern Italy, for working and studying.
Mirko has been a restaurant manager but now he decided to take some time off to follow the sailing passion. He is graduated in Installation and technical maintenance and then he worked in his father’s garage as a mechanic. He is very manual skilled and he would like to use this abilities while travelling and learning languages and cultures. This year he has taken the boat license and he also took a course on skippering of sailing boat.
Miriam finished her Bachelor in Anthropology, religions and civilities in Bolonia and she worked a social operator in welcoming migrants . She loves social contests, learning and teaching languages, arts and cultures. She also experienced living as an au-pair in Austria.
We have lived together and with other people for long time both in Bolonia and Ferrara, we are very sunny, outgoing and very respectful of personal spaces.
Since 2021 we love making adventures by traveling with the van and in June 2024 we decided to leave the house to live in a big camper while traveling and volunteering/working.
We love cooking, hiking, camping, handcrafting, foraging, gardening, painting, creating and of course traveling cause is the best to be in contact with nature and people!
We have just returned from the harvest in France and in November we will leave for Spain looking for new adventures!

We can both teach you Italian (and some Tuscan expressions :D) Miriam can help you in Spanish. She would like to practise English and French but also learn German and improve Arabic. Mirko would like to learn English and Spanish.

Que habilidades tienes?

Mirko's experience is on mechanical stuff and general maintenance, he has got a family mechanical shop (cars and vans). He has been a restaurant coordinator for two years and now he is studying to get a boat license including sailing boat.
Do you have to fix something ? He is a great DIY person!
Miriam loves artistic, social and cultural contexts; she studied Anthropology at University and then she worked as a social operator. She loves drawing, painting and any artistic project.
We are both beginners in plant care, gardening and foraging.
