My name is Mailys, I'm 24 years old, and I'm from France. After starting my career in the fashion industry in Paris, I decided to take a break and explore the world! One of my biggest dreams has always been to discover the United States, a country that has fascinated me since I was a child. I'm eager to learn new things, meet new people, and exchange experiences. Another reason for my travels is to improve my English, as it’s important for me to become fluent.
I'm a dynamic and outgoing person who loves exploring new places and meeting people. I have a deep appreciation for nature, animals, and sports. For several years now, I’ve lived with chickens, a cat, and dogs. I lived in shared housing for a year with seven other people, which taught me a lot about community living. Additionally, I spent time in a host family during high school, so I know how to live harmoniously with others. Growing up, my mother introduced me to organic eating and a lifestyle that respects nature, which gave me some experience in gardening and sustainable living. During my studies, I worked as a babysitter, and having three younger sisters (aged 11 and 12), I have a lot of experience with children and truly enjoy spending time with them. I was also a high-level swimmer and continue to stay active in sports.
I’ve had the chance to travel across Europe, which has been incredibly enriching. Traveling has brought me great satisfaction, and now I want to expand my horizons, step out of my comfort zone, and continue learning about the world while improving my English skills.

My goal is to learn English in order to become bilingual. I have a decent level, but I want to improve to feel more comfortable and have real conversations. I am French and have spoken French since birth, so I would be happy to teach you French if you'd like !

- Like I mentioned earlier, I’ve done a lot of babysitting and helped raise my younger sisters, so I’m comfortable taking care of kids.
- I enjoy cooking and would love to learn new recipes.
- I’m also good with gardens and vegetable patches.
- I’d be happy to teach you some French if you’re interested!
- I don’t have much experience with DIY, but I’m more than willing to help out and I’m definitely up for outdoor activities.
- I would also gladly take care of your animals, whether they are pets or farm animals like horses, sheep, goats, chickens, etc.
- I can also help with cleaning and general house chores.
- One of my younger sisters is autistic, which has taught me to adapt my behavior in various situations. It has helped me develop patience, understanding, and the ability to take care of neurodivergent children by responding to their specific needs.
- During my studies, I had the opportunity to care for elderly individuals with various health conditions, including Alzheimer's. I truly enjoyed spending time with them, listening to their stories, and offering companionship. This experience helped me develop strong empathy, patience, and communication skills, which I believe are valuable when working with seniors or individuals requiring special care.

A few more things about me: I also enjoy reading (I’m trying to read in English, though it’s a bit challenging for now), watching movies, listening to music, and going for walks.
