Hi there, I’m Matt, a fun loving, easy-going traveller originally from Sweden. I have been living a very free, nomadic inspired life for more then 20 years. Travelling only with my backpack and the few belongings I posses and need, which isn’t much.
I got into hitchhiking in 2011 by trying my luck thumbing my way up from Portugal to The Netherlands. Since then I have been thumbing my way through 35+ countries. I love exploring/adventuring/hiking new countries, cities and their nature areas. Learn about new cultures, music, food and traditions.
I am open for any kind of experience on this platform, would love to come and share my skills, learn new ones, regardless if it is on a farm, camping, hostel, a lodge on a the mountain any experience is a good experience. With the years of living a life like this I have learnt to adjust to most situations and places.

- Hospitality (hostels and restaurants)
- Carpentry
- Painting and decorating
- Working with Chainsaws and axes
- Various maintenance jobs
- Cooking/bartending (worked in restaurants for 12 years)
- Farm work (experience from organic farms and animal farms)
- Production work for festivals and managing stages for bands
- Gardening
I do also have some experience working with plumbing, plastering, electricity and driving Farm machinery.
Been nicknamed "MacGyver" through some of the jobs at have had due to my ability to fix things in some very creative ways.

I love the outdoors, wild camping and doing long distance hikes.
The longest hike so far is 1700km on foot, have a few more over hikes 1000km in recent years.
Love plants, especially tropical plants.
I love to cook for people and make people happy with food.
