    Hello,
My name is Grace. I grew up on a homestead in the northeast of the US, where I learned gardening, animal care and developed an excellent work ethic for physical labor.

I have spent most of my life in the outdoors. As a homeschooler, I grew up attending wilderness education programs and when I was fifteen, I started as a teacher in these same programs. I now work as a wilderness educator, teaching children wilderness skills, facilitating instruction through many games, and helping them find a love for the outdoors. I also help run adult programs that teach naturalist skills such as fire and shelter making, hunting, butchering, tracking, hide tanning, and archery. I am currently certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.

When I was a teenager, I did volunteer work at a wildlife rehabilitation center for 3 years. During my time there I learned how to give shots, assess and care for wounded animals, and how to deal with aggressive animals gently. When I was sixteen, I continued my passion for wildlife rehabilitation by going to Costa Rica for a month, where I spent my time volunteering at the medical hospital for a wildlife rehabilitation center. There I was able to expand my knowledge of veterinary practices, and learned suturing and large wound care.

I am also very passionate about working with leather. I worked as a cobbler for 2 years, doing shoe and leather repairs as well as creating custom leather items such as wallets, belts, knife sheaths, quivers, and journals. See my photos for examples of my work.
Growing up on a homestead I developed a good work ethic and a love for physical work. If work needs to be done early in the morning, then I am more than happy to rise before the sun does. I would say one of my best attributes for working is that I am a fast learner and am able to work independently. I love trying to figure out the most efficient way to accomplish a task.

In 2019, I spent 8 months traveling around Europe, working on farms and in hostels. I worked at hostels for 3 months, cleaning rooms, making meals for large groups of people, leading game nights, and managing the front desk.

I am also adept with excel/google spreadsheets, and have some knowledge with website creation and management.

Some of my hobbies and passions include cooking, reading, painting, crafting with natural materials such as bone, animal hide and plant fibers, tracking, bow hunting and studying mythology and folklore.
