• I'm in a journey of knowledge, seeking to share real moments with others, learn about precious side of life, hard work and improve myself as a citizen of the world.

Hi Everyone, my name is Lucas. How are things? ;) Traveling and working is my currentily lifestyle. To be with nature, sharing a world of experiences with other people, exchanging cultures, stories, knowledge, learning and teaching... That purpose of life guides me nowadays. I believe in health as our greatest gift, I don't smoke, drink, or use any drugs. By these values i can guide my life as free as I can. I love to cultivate friendships and happiness in relatioships.

• Just a little bit about myself:

Years ago I realized that I was unhappy working as a lawyer, completely blind, looking just for money and a materials things in life... So I decided to change completely and start to travel! In 2019 I hit the road, start a jorney around Latin America until I arrived in the Amazon. I fell in love with the forest, the animal life and the people who live there. In that time I started living with the Indigenous peoples (Huni Kuin tribe) and learn and share better way of life with them. I lived in the forest about two years and it was an experience that changed my life forever. After years I returned to the South of Brazil to see my parentes and currently I am starting another journey, this time through Asia.

• Why Work Away?

I used to be a Lawyer, but i quit and became a Photographer and traveler, interested in learn different cultures and share with others what i know... enjoy the presente time, discovering, learning, making good friends and always work hard. I look for Workaway as a way to get closer to people, create good relationships and having a real culture experience. I have no problem with any kind of work, whether manual or not. It's always a pleasure to learn a new task.

* 2 weeks in Kratie (Cambodia) - Teaching Kids, Language Practice, Photography and NGO Social Media Promotion.
* 3 weeks in Ha Giang (Vietnam) - Reception, Cleaning, General Maintenence, Help with Tourists & Tour Guide.
* 3 weeks in Vang Vieng (Laos) - Social Media & Photography.
* 2 weeks in Koh Mok (Thailand) - Working as Carpenter and building wooden bungalows in the forest.
* 3 months in Himalayas (India) - Working as a trekking guide and teaching villagers about sustanability in the mountais of himalayas.
* 2 weeks in Nepal - Farming, harvesting rice, feeding animals, general maintenance, painting.
* 1 week in Nepal (Kathamndu) - Editing Videos and creating content for a YouTube channel about tourism in Nepal.

*Fully vaccinated COVID-19 with 3 doses*

• How can I help you?

- As a language teacher
Languages ​​I can teach: Portuguese, English and Spanish. I have worked as a translator and receiving and accompanying tourists on tours in Amazonia.
I have teach English to children in indigenous communities in Bolivia.
I really enjoy teaching and really believe that we learn a lot about the true value of life from children.

- As a photographer/Video Maker/Editor/Social Media
I work for years as a photographer/Video Maker, in Brazil and around the world. I always take my camera, in my tralves so i take all kinds of photos, for different events and publics. In addition, I work as an editor (photo, video) and sometimes produced several events and diverse projects (indigenous, comunities, sale products, hostels) as a social media work. So, if necessary, I can help boost a project on the internet.
Advanced editing level. Softwares that i use: Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom

- Agriculture/Animal Care/Construction
I worked for years at my family's place in Brazil and several farms across America taking care of the plantations (banana, corn, soy, eggplant), working on native wooden house construction projects and taking care of animals. Living with indigenous Amazonian tribes in the forest, without electricity, without basic sanitation and little food, I learn that the simple conditions of life bring out the best of human relationships and his sense of collectivity; Also learned a lot about plants and herbs and I always love to share this knowledge of nature. In this way, hard work, in contact with the land and nature is something I like.

• Experiences:

Generally speaking, I am a person with a positive attitude and work very well in a team. However, most importantly - I have common sense. Besides, here are some skills/experiences (of varying levels) that may be of use to you:

• Personal Attitude

I can always contribute with my hands, my mind, my spirituality and my knowledge. No matter what task, I'm a really understandable and active person, so I m here to do all kind of jobs, be in the cities and in the woods, help with the rooms and with the guests, or built a house. I have worked in restaurants, hotels, assist tourists, cookin, whatever is needed. When i am travelling, i try to do as much as I can to help, teach and learn about the gift of been alive.
