Hi, I’m Luca — a 22-year-old from the UK who’s been exploring the world over the last few years through travel, volunteering, and creative work. I've been doing the likes of workaway for around 4 years, but only a handful through this platform.

I began my journey by volunteering near frontline Ukraine with a charity providing food to areas under bombardment. Since then I've done some NGO work in Bangladesh, travelling widely across Asia, lived & worked in Japan, America and Scotland.

I'm a little more cautious now about what I sign myself up to. I've had mostly great experiences through these platforms but there have been some unfortunate situations too. Looking for mutual respect, good communication & empathy

I hitch-hike a lot! I did it in Bangladesh, Japan and all across Europe. I even did a journey from Romania to Norway (took 18 days), which you can see on YouTube if you search "hitch-hiking from Romania to Norway".

I'm super curious, I love fixing stuff, learning new skills like photography or building. I also love debating! I am analytical, but also trying to be more artistic — something I am actively building upon.

I dream of making journalistic videos/documentaries. Going to warzones, sharing people's stories and uncovering what others would rather not think about. A big goal for my future self!

I really value the chance to connect with people. I’m hoping to make friends in creative and inspiring environments, sharing stories, cooking meals together, and learning from one another’s perspectives.

Travel is about really integrating with locals, not just sightseeing — which is why I love platforms like workaway & couchsurfing!
