Hello! I am Lorna 😄

I have been practising yoga and meditation for around 8 years, and have recently become a 200 hour certified yoga teacher. I am looking for opportunities to teach in South India in the coming months.

Whilst I am travelling around Asia, I'm very keen to get off the 'tourist track' and want to immerse myself in the different local cultures and try to understand the local way of life. It's alsp important to me that I give back to the local communities I visit in exchange for getting to visit.

I love being around nature, and would love to learn more about agriculture and farming. I practice yoga and meditate most days, and I would love to deepen my spiritual practice whilst on workaway stays and travelling. I am always up for trying something new, and always work hard at it! What brings me happiness is good friends, laughter, music and nature.

I have also tutored children in English in a few jobs, after doing my degree in English Literature - so I'd be really happy to help with English teaching.

I am very easy-going, sociable and friendly. I love having long conversations and getting to know people really well. I keep an open mind and enjoy hearing about new perspectives and ways of living.

Que habilidades tienes?

English teaching - I am a native English speaker, have a first-class degree from the University of Birmingham in English Literature, and have tutored children English in Italy (non-English speakers) and England (English speakers).

Management - I have worked as a senior manager in large healthcare organisations in the UK for the last 4 years. I have led large healthcare teams, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a range of skills in management, logistics, staff management, data and reporting that are widely applicable in many businesses.

Marketing, art & design - I love to paint, draw, photograph and design things - including marketing materials. I have experience of marketing in numerous job roles where I have designed posters, branding, graphics etc.

IT & Social Media - I have strong computer skills and have experience of managing professional social media accounts.

Hospitality - I have had numerous jobs in the hospitality and catering sector - I am very friendly and comfortable taking care of customers and guests. I understand the expectations guests and customers have and can meet their needs easily.

Gardening, cooking, cleaning and odd-jobs - I am happy getting stuck into anything! I don't mind physical work, and can pick up new skills quickly if you'll teach me :)

I enjoy reading, writing and art. I love music and singing, and can play a little guitar.
