We are currently volunteering in a Hostel in Córdoba and soon want to travel to Portugal. Hoping to connect with new people☺️
Descripción
Hey! We’re Lina and Cedric and we’re a 20 year old couple living in a small town in Germany called Hameln. We both graduated high school last summer and are now taking a gap year doing work and travel through Europe.
We startet our journey in September and have done workaways in Italy, France and Spain where we only had great experiences!
By collaborating with different hosts, we hope to not only visit countries as tourist but get a better understanding of the cultures and customs. We’re excited to get out of our comfort zones, meet new people and learn new skills!
In her free time Lina loves to spend time with friends and do creative projects such as painting, crocheting, crafting etc. She also does sports and likes trying out different meals and cooking for her family. A goal of her is to speak 5 languages someday, so she's always happy to practice Spanish and English or to learn a completely new one.
Cedric is a sports enthusiast, especially soccer and weightlifting. He likes to connect with people, make new friends and enjoy time with

Que habilidades tienes?
Having done quite a few workaways now, we have experience in different gardening and maintenance tasks:
- weeding
- watering
- planting vegetables and trees
- pruning trees/bushes
- mowing the lawn
- working with wood
- painting walls, window frames and fences
- pointing stone walls
- working with cement and concrete
- assembling furniture
We also have some experience in childcare because Cedric lives with his 8 year old niece and often takes care of her. Lina also sometimes babysits her cousins children who are 2 and 3 years old. We both really like spending time with children and are very happy to stay with families.
Sadly, we never had pets growing up because of our family members but we love spending time with animals and have cared for pets from friends and hosts. Since we've stayed on a small farm, we also know a bit about caring for donkeys, goats, chickens etc.
Lina has been working as a part-time waitress since 2021. Because of that she already has experience with handling stressful situations and interacting with customers. We have also volunteered at a hostel with the main task of cleaning.
Cedric is interested in crafting and has some experience in painting, laying floors and assembling furniture. He has also worked part time in a grocery store that focuses on organic and sustainable food.
We love to get out of our comfort zone, so we're also more than happy to learn new skills!

It normally takes a few days to get settled in but I felt this lovely couple fell right into place.
Lina was probably the driving force, if a little shy she definitely pushed through to show her strength in facing what I/we put Infront of her.

The work was very varied which was great and were able to learn a lot about gardening and crafting from Chris. Teri always cooked us the most delicious food and we’ve left with a lot of inspiration for new recipes.
