Hi, I'm Laurence,

I'm a UK student who's having a year of travel before a degree in electrical and electronic engineering at a Russel Group university. I'm hoping to learn language skills (currently German) and meet some cool people along the way.

I would love to speak to people about their lives and whatever insights they may have, whether it's personal or career related. I have worked customer facing jobs for 2 years to fund my travel, but I'd love others opinions on careers as I'm still undecided on my own path.

I don't claim to be an elite athlete, but I am always between sports/gym so I'm happy to help with some errands. For me and my friends, we've often done things like rock climbing or badminton, along with the football team I ran for us.

I have a passion for music and play both guitar and drums, both of which I've played for a few years, and hopefully I'll be able to release an album of my own one day.

I love caring for animals so any pets is a major plus, I myself have always had a rescue cat (see photos).

I've been abroad to a few countries, so far: Iceland, France, Spain, Germany, Romania, India, Indonesia, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam (9/3/25)

With plans for Australia, Japan and USA soon.

I am from England, so I can help your English language skills as a native speaker.
I built my own computer a few years ago and have been my family's tech support for years so I'm sure I'm qualified to help out with some tech issues.
