Hello! My name is Kate. I will soon be finishing up a 1 year work holiday Visa in the United States and I'm trying to organize the next leg of my journey. Usually, you are either a people person or an animal person. Not me! I am genuinely BOTH a people person and an animal person and I have been so blessed with the opportunity to work with both here in the United States. Nothing makes me happier than helping people and being useful. I would love to be kept busy on a Workaway, but would also appreciate some downtime to read, explore and learn some Dutch.

Que habilidades tienes?

I have plenty of experience with animals, especially dogs. I also spent 5 years riding horses, so I am confident being around them and attending to yard work, mucking out, etc. I have done work experience on pet farms in Ireland which had your typical farm animals as well as more exotic animals. I studied Animal Care, Animal Science and Animal Management in College. I also took dog grooming classes for 2 years.

I am an extremely clean person. I worked as a cleaner for 1 year and a housekeeper for 2 years in total in both budget accommodation and prestigious hotels.

I am very friendly; I'm not afraid to talk to people and have experience working as a receptionist at a front desk, managing bookings, calls and also attending to the needs of customers in-person.

I'm not afraid of heavy lifting. I do strength training multiple times a week and keep fit. I'm also used to heavy lifting from my current job. I always practice good manual handling.

I love hiking, running, fitness endeavors and I have jumped on the trend of Pickleball since being in the United States.
