Hello! I am currently on sabbatical and looking for spaces to rest, learn new hobbies, connect with others.
My outlook:
Curiosity is queen, and I nurture connection, exploration, and learning from the people and experiences I'm fortunate enough to come into contact with. I love creating patterns and investing in my surroundings. Playing music, cooking, working and playing outside, dancing, hosting people, and listening to stories are a few ways I love to connect with the world and others. I would love to learn new skills in building, farming, boating, and instruments you're willing to share!
I value peace and intuition, so I always strive to contribute them to the places I stay. In hosts and travel partners, I look for others who are lighthearted, easygoing, communicative, and sincere. I am a very unassuming person, so having a call/voice messages about expectations and goals is helpful for me.

I'm a self-starter, keen to details, and a big-picture, systems thinker. I love talking about the abstract and learning how things work together. Some specifics about skills...

I grew up working on the family farm, so I have experience with farm chores, animals, and lifestyle. This time was formative and inspired my love for the outdoors and no-nonsense work ethic. I am comfortable using common maintenance and building tools (pruner, mower, saw, drill, etc), feeding & cleaning the nasty (lol) to give some examples. All that to say, my favorite thing to do it care for animals! I have experience with cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and some work with horses. I just completed a three month farm manager position on an organic vegetable farm in Vermont, which was delightful!

My dad was a builder and engineer, so my weekends were always learning new projects and getting my hands dirty. I'm comfortable learning (from others or by google:)) I can paint, do minor construction (flooring and siding installation for instance), and maintenance upkeep/cleaning.

While in school, I worked in childcare in multiple capacities (in-home care, camps, and development centers) with children from infant to 12 years old. I still think that some of the most life-giving work is walking alongside children as they learn and navigate life.

In adulthood, I've worked in marketing and fundraising. I'm at my best while I'm directing events, greeting attendees, and including people in an experience. I love bringing people together into spaces where they can learn, cultivate relationships, and find belonging.

In my free time, you can find me journaling, wandering around new parts of town, and attending concerts or fun community classes. I enjoy practicing a whole food, plant-based diet when it is accessible.
